All I can say is good luck to the Raiders it's good you have such a positive attitude it's just what the club needs. I heard it was more like 25 that were at training on Sunday.

Brenton Wilson is the 2's coach, but don't know anything else about him.

You seem to know a bit about Bridgewater and S Feijen what do you think would be his best option?

Rumor on country footy is big GH has left Torrens Valley and taking his money with him to lobethal to help them out could be some changes in 09 to lobey if this happens, not implying there going to win the comp but with his financial backing might get them a few players which could see them a bit more competitive!

Believe amiable Blackwood ex pres Dave 'have caravan will travel' Benson has been appointed to the HFL board. Luv him or loathe him, he has a knack of getting things done ... may be just the thing to shake up a few of the 'sleepy' board members!!

read a few pages back some top 5 predictions for season 09. not much reasoning behind these selections. for what it worth hes mine:

1. Lofty - even the loss of cutting wont hurt them. the best team by a fair stretch the past 3 yrs, very young & will be the bench mark again. crazy to think they wouldnt be.
2. Hahndorf - seemed to have lost no one from last yrs squad & will gel better this coming season youd think. will recruit as rumoured on this forum. dangerous side.
3. blackwood - even if jake bowen leaves they'll find a replacement. even team with plenty of talls all over the ground that blend well with there runners. new coach, new ideas should keep them in the 3.
4. Barker - retained all players from last season but Byrt who will be a loss. have quietly been recruiting & have already retained the services of some past junior & senior players. only 2 players over 30 yrs old, so should be there abouts again with an improving squad. C rogers to return from knee injury also.
5. uraidla - well respected side that performs well every yr. very experienced side with perhaps only age slowing them down a touch. wouldnt be surprised if they finished higher with there rumoured recruits.

onkas miss out just - like this yr. even with klun going back im not sure he'll be enough.

Onkas could be in big trouble with the losses, the two Russell brothers, Dubois also heard Contin was having a year off and a couple more. Can't see Klun covering all these losses. Heard a rumour that Trigga might be back at Mt Lofty any truth to that, would make up for the loss of Cutting.
