Here along the lines that ex west and port power listed played Wade Champion as been training out with the bombers. Would be a handy forward line to go with Taylor, jolly, zanandrea and Farley if rumour is true.

Alex Brackstone has been heard around the traps saying he will single handedly drag Angaston to the finals. Apparently he will be their best player since the great Brenton Bascombe. Are the goat herders a chance?

Willaston played Modbury at Willaston yesterday. Modbury won 9.23 to 10.3 both teams missing a handful I'm led to believe

Moonta were too good for Barossa, winning by about 5 goals.

Balaklava played Barossa Districts at Williamstown.
I was impressed with the Bulldogs, have a lot of tall timber and play an 18-man press. Seemed well drilled in defence too.
Shillabeer smashed through a set shot from 60m out, slightest of breezes at his back. Has a massive shoe on him.

And so it begins for another year... Some very interesting matches leading to start the year!

Nuri v Willaston and South v Tanunda are very hard to tip, sadly Freeling look like they're in for a very, very lean year.

ROUND 1 TIPS
Angaston v Gawler Central - Central by 25 points
Barossa v Freeling - Barossa by 120 points
Nuriootpa v Willaston - Willaston by 3 points
South v Tanunda - Tanunda by 10 points

Reckon you're on the money Jim, margin might be a bit tight in the Centrals game, reckon 25 goals will be closer

He wasn't too far off!
I think everyone can see that South, Freeling and Ango will fill the bottom 3 spots, just a matter of order
