b. dubouis & j russel going to hahndorf, i think the president got them both a job at sports power mount barker, s. russel not far away from signing with them too i think he is getting drink vouchers for the german arms, all 3 would be a good pick up for their b grade

I think his reasons would be he is sick of being at a club that has been finishing bottom in every grade year after year. He is now getting to the end of his playing career and would like some success.

That's not Shane Russell i think it was, aka Rusty, who used to play for Ironbank is it Bat Pad? Hahndorf looking the goods this year.

Does anyone know if the devils have made any signings thus far?

Don't think so Dash. Sam Russell. Not sure where Rusty is these days?
Also Duboius played association before getting injured did he not. Would have thought A grade player when fit. J Russel was a regular A grade player at Onkas i'm pretty sure. Both handy for Hanhdy in the depth department at the very least.

Winning is everything you can't tell me you would put yourself through all that effort getting belted from pillar to post to finish bottom not much enjoyment in that. I know for a fact that he would play A grade if he wanted and they will win more games than this year, Meadows were unlucky this season with some big injuries early on. Meadows are a much more competitive team than Bridgy.

i thought it was a very intense session first up for what was meant to be a "light" training run, not looking forward to the hard sessions. S Flinn & M Lancaster were both out & i believe have signed.

I think this year you will see a very different bridgewater football club. The structures that have been put in place (which should have been put in place 5 years ago) will help the players and the club move forward and hopefully to some success this year. I know allready they have applied to get some government grants and assistance to a upgrade the changerooms, and I know that people either love it or hate it, but upgrade the green shed canteen facilities.

In a perfect world they could pipe the creek, put an extra 10 metres on the oval and shut towers road as well, but that's not going to ever happen!

I know that flynn and lancaster have signed, chasing a couple of fringe league players from Norwood, and have got the signatures of a couple of very talented lads from the Sunraysia comp in vic. these are guys who have been targeted not only for their footballing ability but their attitude and personalities. Will be interesting to see the guys gel well and hopefully chalk up a few wins this year. We will see a more competitve tezm from Bridgy BALLHOG

You hear the same garbage every year so I don't know how you can be so sure.It is only hear say that these guys from Victoria are good footballers, you also hear that every year at Bridgewater with the recruits they get. I know Flinn is a great footballer but he won't tear a game apart fot you and Lancaster another full back which the club doesn't really need. Tooting aren't these blokes from Victoria mates with the coach?

my guess is that he will play b grade, possibly captain, which is what the club needs. a few older blokes in the 2's to lead the way & teach the younger lads.

Great guy, solid hard footy player and loyal servant to the club I'm sure there is always going to be a spot for him.
