Renmark had them and struggled.
I agree with OS though that if they are managed well then they can be very successful.
Sadly, Renmark wasn't well run in the early part of this decade.

Renmark really struggled with keeping up with the Club and Pub during the time they had them.
they are well set up now though with their machines being leased to the renny club.
Loxton North machines leased thru the Berri Hotel - at the renmark golf club

The Armchair Experts thoughts on all the weekend's football action in the Riverland and Mallee.

cant speak for any other clubs but i thought gregory had done his knee....and as far as MKFC goes, matt cooper and klingberg certainly arent under any injury clouds, not sure where that came from. does the bloke who writes this column actually research any of it?

I didn't write it but we'll cop the Gregory call.
However, the info regarding Cooper and Klingberg came from contacts at the club.

Tips for this week in the Independents?

Lyrup and Cobby should be a good game.
Be interesting to see if BSR can give East Murray a run at Blanchetown.

BSR V East Murray will be very interesting considering that EM have a number of players in their squad playing well ATM who over the last few years were only considered good enough to be BSR B graders.

moorook oval was very heavy after over 2 inches of rain during the week, inch on friday night/saturday morn. lyrup had so much more run than we did in the 2nd half. be interesting to see how they pull up this week. might put cobby in a good spot.

Given the condition of the Ovals around the place - were there any issues over the weekend with Team managers etc signing off the ground condition report?? - Renmark oval had water over the whole centre square. Oval all signed off OK i believe. My opinion is that it is a winter sport etc however some people take different views given that these days litigation is out there

well AAMI stadium looked pretty sheeite and you can only inmagine what some of the Adelaide Hills ovals were like, I think we would be safe
