I used to play up at Birdwood years ago and was googling some old team mates. I googled Chris Moerman and discovered he'd been named mvp goal kicker for the American League!!

Are the other Moerman brothers still playing up there? What about Genda Campbell? He was always good for a laugh!

Stuart Moerman still plays for the roosters, holds down ruck or FulBack in the A's... Chris lives and plays in the USAFL for Nashville, and yes, won the US leading goal kicking award.. not sure how tough the standard is though!

Last I heard Genda Campbell lived up in the NT somewhere... that guy was Unbelievable in the juniors.. probably the most dominant hills junior i've ever seen... I know he played in the WAFL for a while, but not sure if he playd much senior footy after that..

I don't think Cooper will be a huge loss to Mt Lofty they one the flag last year without him playing to often. Cutt's on the other hand is a big loss but think they have the depth to cover him. As for Blackwood who gives a shit, Mt Barker always seem to keep things quiet so I would suspect them to be strong again after the season just gone.

A few clubs showing some interest from what I hear. Mind you if he keeps hitting the Plympton Gym as hard as he has been he'll be a mini man mountain who's too slow for an on-ball role.

Heard a rumour last night that Matthew Bartemucci may be playing at Hahndorf next season. Anyone know if this is true? Huge pick up if this is the case.

As has been stated on here before Uraidla have picked up Down & Daniel Ebert from North. Cameron Staples is doing a pre season at West Adelaide and it looks like he will play down there next season.

Afternoon all, firstly, I’m not hiding behind any pseudonyms, this is me Mark/‘Buzz’, current Hahndorf player. Any questions you have re Hahndorf moving fwd let me know either forum or PM, i'll give you as honest an answer as I can. Thought I’d finally get on this forum officially, as I’ve recently read a few things that are totally incorrect. Some have drawn a smile, others just stupid. To clarify some ‘facts/rumours’ posted on this forum recently:

-Trent is the new HFC president – will be great for the club and he’s looking to build on the fantastic wk done in recent years by the committee.
-We are not throwing mega $ around, we don’t need to. We’ve retained almost all players from last year (few older blokes still weighing things up, would suggest all clubs in this position and maybe 1 or 2 to travel but not confirmed) and have some fantastic juniors coming through. Agree we need a couple more handy players for depth, but certainly not the big $ kind people have mentioned. The new points system wouldn’t facilitate such recruiting in any case.
-Dan Roberts will be playing with us next year, Colville won’t be, recruiting committee haven’t even spoken to him.
-Barta is a good mate of mine. I can’t speak for him, however to my knowledge he’s committed to Nwd for next season.
-Coops is looking forward to playing with us next year (he told me this Thursday), he’s taking a running group at Hahndorf every Wed if you want some extra fitness work.
-We are currently talking to a number of players about coming to Hahndorf next year (isn’t every club at this time of year?). Hopefully I’ll have positive news to report in coming days/weeks/months.

Overall, there is a great feeling at the club at the moment. Everyone is looking forward to next season and building on the hard work put in by all in recent years.

While I’m here, if anyone out there is interested in potentially joining the club in any capacity player/support staff etc, our first official run/meeting is this Wednesday (3rd Dec) kick of approx 6:30pm at Hahndorf Oval followed by a BBQ. Any questions flick us a private message if you want to remain anonymous.

Looking forward to the coming season, suggest it will be a close one……with us winning the premiership of course!

Cheers,
Buzz

Yeah sorry mate, on reflection bit of rant isn't it hahah.......apologies. Haven't had a look on here for a coupla weeks and just got caught up in it. Don't mind the player speculation stuff - enjoy reading it myself - was more the comments of us throwing big $ around a few pages which I wanted to clarify. Play on.....

My understanding is we did briefly talk with Cousins - whilst we could manage the 6 points he'd probably attract, like the AFL clubs, he doens't fit into our recruiting 'age profile', and in any case we wouldn't be able to fit him into our midfield rotation.

I'll be quiet now.
