He is a knucklehead just quietly.

Most players that look at getting paid or worth getting paid in country football at their non local club would not get out of bed for $150. Good luck to this character

Yeah AK is his name i think, heard some good wraps about him. The bloke that reckons he is the best ruckman in the GSFL at the moment.

From GSFL site:
Aldinga are staying in the SFL in 2009.

All this talk and the best decision was made. Alot of people are now keen to dig in the heels and make for some real success.

Three cheers!!!

with the finals just around the corner can anyone give some solid information player qualification for finals?

obviously there is a minimum number of games you have to play at a club to qualify but what about qualifications over different grades?

will meadows or gummas be able to drop players from their a's to play reserves or 17's in the finals? both rely heavily on juniors to fill their seniors during the season...

just curios because you seem to hear different things from different people and it varies from league to league

I think John would probably make a half decent coach for the following reasons:

1. he would come with an affordable price tag
2. he is passionate about the game
3. he is a knob at times but has contacts throughout the GSFL and the SFL
4. he is passionate about any team he pulls the jumper on for
5. he is not the greatest player on earth but he is 6 foot 4. saw him do a great job on Hams 3 weeks ago

dont know Maccelsfield's situation but there would be worse blokes out there to coach a footy side

RE: Finals and Qualifying Players

A senior A grade player only needs to play 4 games to qulify for finals.

A Senior play playing A grade and B grade need to play a majority in the B grade (around 6 - 7 games) if it is less they can go to HFL and seek a clearence to play due to different circumstances.

Any junior that has played throughout the year can come up no matter what amount of senior games they have played.

Why isn't the player with the biggest ass in the Hills Country League - Michael "Bucket Ass" Raidis - playing footy at the moment ???? His wife has a bigger heart than he does !!

Cally playing Echunga as we speak (or message!). They can expect minimal local support as most die-hards (those left of them) are not attending due to Cally's iminent move to RMFL. Many seem upset re the lack of consultation. The gates will be well down in 2009 if the move occurs. Of course the HFL will support it as they will be glad to be rid of them, so their advice to the club will run accordingly. Cally more divided than they have ever been.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

John Jarred coaching would be like Ivan Milat becoming a kindergarten teacher.

Torrens Valley emerge as a genuine flag threat with a 14 point win over Kersbrook yesterday. Big Jacques dominant for the Lions.

I'm not sure Callington will be a certainty to be accepted by the River Murray League though, they don't sound like they'd offer much to the RMFL apart from being the 8th club that will remove the bye. Would be a big chance of them folding like the MB Redlegs did a few years ago and the league certainly won't want a repeat of that scenario.

This maybe from left feild, but would'nt Cally be better of looking at the Mid Murray League? Not that far away, could be more competetive and the MMFL are struggling for clubs!

So they SHOULD be a flag threat with GH there and the talent at his disposal. If GH was to take the so called vacant Maccy position next year, they would be a Flag threat. And if GH was at Kersbrook.......well they wouldn't be competing in Country Div!
