Round 3 – April 25th & 26th
Mt. Lofty v Ironbank
Bridgewater v Birdwood
Hahndorf v Lobethal
Onka Valley v Mt. Barker
Uraidla Dist. v Blackwood

What a load of crap since when have Bridgewater and Birdwood been rivals they should be playing Mt Lofty.

Ironbank are the only side willing to play under lights.
All games will be played over two days. Senior sides on the sat and colts sides on the sun. (except for Lofty V Ironbank) This is because no sport can be played before noon on Anzac day.

i would have thought Lofty & IB would be the only teams to play on the Sat under lights & all other teams to play at normal times on the Sunday

why bother with a 'rivalry round' at all. seems pointless when not all are rivals. Playing on ANZAC day under lights is a great option though, except for the 30mins of freezing your arse off during pre-game ceremonies. I'll remember the pre-match jacket this time.

I used to really love the night games against Kersbrook back in the day. That's one of the problems with being in Central now, don't have the same rivalries we used to have... although at the same time i don't miss playing Kersbrook and having fights picked all day!

One of those steak sandwiches cooked up in the shed at Lofty would sit nicely just before the game, maybe that's the best option. As for toughness....you ever seen me throw a punch? Only a backhander to flash gordon or a low blow against a Bridgy nutter I reckon.

As classy as ever Juicy, and thanks for the sneakers. I'll remind Closey about them in pre-season and you whenever our paths cross next.

How did Josh Sidebottom from Blackwood and Frazer Scanlon from Mt Barker? fare this year. Also, any word on if they are staying? I believe that Joshy is pretty keen to leave with his friend he came from Sturt with. Also believe that Reece Lacey (Ironbank) had mativational issues again and was happy to sit in his comfort zone, just like cricket (His old man isnt too impressed with this!). All three grew up playing together and its quite funny how they end up in the same league playing for different clubs.

Frazer had a decent year while fit enough to play, struggled to get his shinsplints clear each week. From all reports looks like he will be suiting up again, but will have to wait for preseason to confirm him as defnite.

It would be a shame to see Sidebottom leave after showing promise last year. I think if he spent another season in the competition he would certainly find his feet and be one of the players to watch. Yes all three grew up in Mt. Gambier, i know that Lacey and Sidebottom played in a couple of junior premierships together in the WBFL however there are a number of Mt. Gambier lads (young and old) scattered through the hills and other leagues nearby. I would expect to see a few more Mt. Gambier boys playing in next years comp since they have to make the move to Adelaide for Uni and could make solid contributions to any senior side that takes them in.

Toughness is being able to take a few, not dish em out champ... would never question your ability to absorb some punsihment, just have a look at your head, it's good advertising for the fact haha!

And yes Mr Juicy is all class as per usual... and completely oblivios to the fact that he is the one who looks like a jerk with those sorts of comments! Go easy on Closey mate, I am sure it was 100% Juicy's idea

Would like to apologise about the previous rumour posted about Mark Sinclair hanging up the boots to concentrate on his Bubbarias duties.
This is infact incorrect and the great man will be going around again for the Candy Stripes. :^o

Anymore recruiting news boys?

I hear the Tigers have recruited a couple big names and there may be more to come with the possible return of Damien King as well.

How are Hahndorf going, last i heard they were throwing money around like a rich bloke at the crazy horse.

Can tell you right now if Hahndorf are throwing big money around, it's not at Hills Country Division footballers.
