Worse things could happen that's for sure !! good coach unfortunately had a disfunctunal team , without Quinn in the team and his pending retirement and consequent old age pension he won't be the look at me I'm a Womble distraction to the team , imps should go for it .

Why. Because he did such a good job at Mannum a few years ago? Wouldn't think so. Did Dave start that rumour? He also has stated that Moonta in YPFL were chasing him as well.
Dave likes to talk the talk and drops names left right and centre. Sorry. Wouldn't trust him at all. Only my view. Others no doubt may see it differently.

Dave $Guy will not coach Imperials in 2014.
Speaking with someone close to the playing group this week mentioned two names that have been mentioned.
One will be chased heavily and the other has put his hand up for the role..
Dave is neither

imps can have dohleguy and the baggage he will bring and cause, it will give us more of a chance of going back to back in 2014

Dohleguy has not had a job since Mannum I'm pretty sure and couldn't get a gig in Div 6 so I doubt a club like Imps would have him on a shortlist of 3 trillion :? Went down to the GSFL grand final today and heard on good authority that Hally is on the move along with O'Malley and Ribbons. Have also heard Waity is a good chance to stay and Mypo have already signed a couple of guys.

Surely Dogga Garrett would be in the mix? He's been assistant for a number of years hasn't he?

Dog garret , will , and probably has , put his hand up. Not the most popular man in the league as everyone remembers how he used to play . The jervois incident and many other hit and runs . Not a popular choice at all I wouldn't have thought . Although Dave granger comes to mind and he doesn't run. I think Hugh barker would put a stop to that one but I don't think it will happen . Dave schencher
is by far the best we have internally and many rate him well above collo. Sumner is a great bloke but no where near an a grade coach . Dave has been there done that so it will be a interesting few weeks , although the good oil from Daishat is there will be an announcement presentation night. The Karoonda Womble is not on the invitation sheet either for those who are wondering . Do not be at all surprised if wait is offered a fortune from Daishat to take on the roll !!!! Just sayin.

UTB what an awesome Imperial person u r. You continually embarrass "your" club. There are people in the club who would like to know who you are to settle a few things with you.
A few people like you, hide behind this forum, write absolute rubbish about many things, and then you bag people in your own club.
Stevie Sumner has been and is regarded as the best teaching coach this league as had for many years. So I cannot see why the club would not give him the main coaching position, surely it is worth taking the chance. Perhaps then a few of the local players who are or have played in the u17's under Stevie would feel comfortable playing senior football and therefore play to their ability. Instead of being stuck in B grade as they are not what the so called high credentialed coaches have wanted. Hopefully also the club will then pay some of the ex-young guns to come back home - as in Samblich, Dahlitz, Hollitt even Lienert.
As for your comments about Damien Garrett, they just show that you are something that must live in the dark dark corners at Imperials, where all the other mushrooms grew, in the dark and feeds on bull####.
And wow you really do know your business, Imperials to name their new coach - presentation night, NOW that has never happened before.!!!
Why don't you at sometime come out of your closet and perhaps become a committee member and back up some of the crap you write about.
Have a great summer

Well said Flukey!

As an outsider we have always know Sumner to be great developing kids and turning them into quality footballers. He is a major reason as to why you have had a stranglehold on the 15's & 17's over the past half a dozen years or so

We all know UTB aint all there and his agendas against particular players such as 'Womble' & co have become monotonous & boring. Just another key board warrior in my opinion!

Also as for Damien Garrett - yes he certainly has had his critics but he also has been a great club person, A Life Member, Multi Premiership player, 3 x b&F a B Grade Mediallist at the end of his career when he "Lowered himself" unlike many others and gave something back to the club and younger players plus has been A Grade runner and now assistant coach. Wonder how that stacks up with you UTB!..

UTB is correct about the club wanting to announce the new coach on presentation night depending on the quality of outside applicants. Stevie Sumner will be a serious contender.

I don't think there is any secret that UTB's allegiance lies with Mannum and not Imperials!
