Check out this round's comprehensive coverage of football across the Riverland and Mallee.

Interested to see you have picked Paringa to give BSR an absolute belting. I would have thought that would be a close match?? I'm pretty sure CN would think that too.

Fairly bold statement that. Not saying we are going to smash Paringa or anything but not sure how you come to that conclusion with no form to go on. No way of comparing the 2 sides at all and the fact you didn’t mention probably 4 or 5 of our best players shows how blind you are flying with your prediction. I would hope that we are around the mark and make a good game of it but no way of knowing until tomorrow. One thing for sure we shouldn’t be short of motivation after reading that article.

Chuck wont be able to comment as he left for Blanchetown at 3 pm to be there by game time.

Good luck tomorrow BOM and welcome to the comp.

Disappointing to not see G. Webster in the line up.

Have BSR had some players cleared to other teams, play 3 or 4 matches for them, and now return home on the eve of their first match.

1 Player has done this - when he was cleared out of the club it was meant to be for the season but he has now decided he wants to come back. Nothing in it just a change of heart. He actually wont be playing in 2morrow either so its not as if he went away planning to get back to play for us - if that was the case im sure he would have tried to be back for our first game.

Oval was in terrible condition. All the holes filled with sand, but was pretty poor overall. Particularly the sandpit down the far end!
Having said that, the BSR boys were all good lads and are a welcome addition to the competition.
Looked pretty good in patches today, just couldn't find the goals.
Will be around the mark come finals time.

Yep. Oval took me out in the warmup. Good game to watch, would have been fun to play. Paringa ran over us in the last - wasn't unexpected though. At least we know we are around the mark and not totally out of our depth.

bugger all in it. just a bit of push and shove. i think o'loughlin got a red card though. renmark will be spewing, because he was their only decent player yesterday.

Yeah spoke to one of your blokes about it and he reckons Swan Reach oval is far superior to Blanchetown's. We might as well have played at SR then if it's safer for the players. We had one bloke go down with a nasty ankle injury. Not sure if the oval was to blame, but would be better off playing at SR to take that sort of thing out of the equation.

Yeah Swanny is much better - i thought the reason for playing at Blanchy was to save you guys some travel but not sure. Not sure what more they can do about Blanchy i know the guys do a heap of work to get it up to scratch but seem to be fighting a loosing battle at times.
thought it was a great game. Good to know we can mix it with you guys and didnt get "belted". Going to turn out to be a good move i think with the game being played in good spirits. Gotta give credit to the league and Paringa all seemed to go out of their way to make us feel welcome which was good. look forward to the next time we meet.
