When you have guys like Sheedy and Clayton in your team there must be a few dollars getting handed out, that is my source ;)

Well I have waited long enough and I know the great man 'used to be' must have a pre-game prediction? Please share with the group!

And what is the problem with handing out money to guys with their experience? These boys bring so much to the club that you wouldn't see and for you to say they are playing just for the money couldn't be farther from the truth.

So if mid season the clubs funds dried up, you reckon they would still come up for a $20 bar voucher? Tell him he's dreaming!

I'm sure they bring a whole heap to the club and I will be happy to watch you boys roll imps on sat but if you think they aren't doing it for the $$$ then your on another planet

Every club has paid players and needs them to survive, it's wether you can retain them long term without continuously payin these dollars is what differs from Imp & Ramblers compared to the Roos

If a club has the sponsors and finance behind it to pay good money for good players then all the best to that club. I just hope that none of the clubs in our comp go broke trying to out do each other!

For what its worth winners this sat will be
under 15's Mypo 15pts
under 17's Imps 35pts
B grade Imps 27pts
A grade Mannum 32pts

hope we get a good crowd out at Mypo on Sat.

i never said they wouldn't enjoy getting paid, my response more to footywiz who claims they just play for the money and do not care about mannum getting a flag. Clayton, sheeds, hall, bowen are all friends and we have been able to facilitate for them to all be able to play together at our club which is something they had all wanted to do. These guys bring a professional attitude and with that comes a desire to win, no one enjoys losing even if you are being paid. Imps and Ramblers have a far greater population to get players from hence you guys don't need to offer $$$ to get people in, if all the clubs outside the bridge had access to the population you do the comp would be more even. We've also had over a dozen A graders leave over the past couple of years and not alot of juniors playing on. We have to do what we can to be competitive.

Anyway boys we are digressing at the important end of the season.

Are the Mypo boys gonna be one of those "undefeated all year until the GF......." stories?
Will having a week off after that brutal day at Meningie be a massive advantage or not?
Most importantly I don't follow either Imps or Ramblers so in that 2 and 1/2 hour gap from end of U15's until start of A grade, how do I moderate liquor intake enough so as to be at least half tidy at the end of the day?
Any suggestions from any one besides UTB?

Anzac you have no need to explain and try and justify what mannum as a club is doing, I commend you, half your luck for being able to get a gun bunch of mates to your club,!! Just do us all one thing and roll imps.

I reckon we're in for a rip snorting, bone crunching GF tomorrow! Conditions should be perfect for footy and I can't wait to see the Roos belt the living suitcase out of the blues physically & on the scoreboard.

Okay, maybe wishful thinking as there is probably no clear favorite. The blues looked un touchable last week but I must remember who beat them (& comfortably) the week before but either way I reckon it'll be a corker!

Any late news or rumors? How's Harrowfields head? Heard he had a little woopsy last Saturday night. I'm sure Daveys shoulder will get a work out early & Smith had ankle issues late last week so will be a bit stiff.

Everything points to a great day & let's hope the oval at Mypo is in its usual pristine condition

just got home from a quiet drink at the captains place, i'll sleep tonight a happy man, all the hard work from the coach, the players, the trainers and supporters has paid off. Bad luck to imps, they were damn good today and to be honest at three quarter time i thought we were done but we rose above and won and the boys should be pleased with themselves. must say collo gave a very humbling speech to our boys after the match and kudos to him as i'm sure he and the imps boys were hurting after leading for 3 quarters.

Go the Roos

Think Boyd Kenny has played his last game for imps. Been a good loyal player. Wants to play alongside couple of his mates in the Adelaide plains league. Congrats to mannum.

Yes I have heard there is 3 imps boys on the way to pasky, not all is well at imps is the word, not all players like this so called great man collo, who I personally think is a Tool, one may have to ask has he got this side where they should be in the last couple of years? At a club with an outstanding list and unbelievable depth, disappointing loss yesterday and not making the gf last year!

I have heard this coach talk. And his rotations off the bench. Comes across as a bit of a creamer to me.

Great game yesterday, Huge crowd. Is Mypo the best ground to host GF's in RMFL.

Mannum's big recruits stood up. Sheedy was awesome all game but especially in the last qtr setting up a kick behind. Bowen wore down the opposition rucks in the first half and totally dominated the second half. Clayton was really good and loves to niggle the opposition and Hall was a target up forward .

Money well spent.

Imps were a good all round side. They were well drilled but the three talls up forward struggled to hold the ball in once it hit the ground.

On collo : great bloke , loves his footy. Best thing for Imps was the comment after the first season.Been there 3 years now and that is normally when the rumblings start - people get bored and start looking at change.

Summary: great game , scores close all day and glad i went .

Good game of footy ..... Was surprised at the amount of space Imps offered Sheedy, especially during the last qtr when he kicked the winning goal ?

Absolutely disgusted !!! If the great one ????? Collo was more passionate about his team instead of himself maybe we would have stood more of a chance. No wonder blokes want out !! With the amount of recruits , wait , girdham, puati , hall, honner, smith , Davey , harrowfield!!!! We make mannums recruits look minimal . Too hear our blokes including collo comment on the money has spent is simply sour grapes . Mannum recruited better than any other side . You must give credit to Yates he had no depth at all in comparison to us he took a gamble and played kids and beat collo at his own game. . We were out coached out played and as one of the entire 20 imperial supporters there I was embarrassed with our lack of support. Enjoy the moment Mannum while you can , we can only hope for new leadership at the club !!! Daisha doooo something.!!! You know as well as I do that you allowed collo to play 3 injured players , we have great depth so why ??? Smith , Davey , and especially eyre did nothing, absolutely nothing and we paid them to do it $$$
