Noticed that the Standard has advertised that they are providing fairly current updates on the count, both on their website, and their Facebook page.

Heard today that the council up at Tailem decided to do some weed spraying on the oval and the whole thing is brown now, anyone seen the oval to confirm and deny this?

Also congrats to Wait, absolute class player.

Correct Tailem Bend oval is in a terrible state but will be fine to be played on. It just isn't a great look for finals footy

I have heard that the final could be moved & a decision will be made tomorrow. Does anyone know how such a stuff up could be made? Seriously not good to be playing on dead grass, especially after a warm week

If it needs to be done it needs to be done, I know meningie oval is in tip top condition if everyone wants to just venture on down the road a little, I'm sure the committee could make it happen

You're kidding right? Meningie was in terrible condition last weekend. I was sitting by the opposition coaches box and was covered up to my knees when I walked out of long grass and mud. Players looked like they were slipping over all day also.

We are hardly talking 90,000k at the MCG here. Im sure it wouldnt be that hard to organise. Infact i think Langhorne Creek got flooded GF week a few years back and that was moved midweek.

On the ground or behind the fence. That pocket is the worst for drainage and mud but overall id agree with Grasshopper the oval is in pretty fine condition. If they moved it from Tailem however i can hardly see them taking the game further from Murray Bridge. Probably the club who didnt get a final could do it???

Imps way way way too good today over ramblers. Smashed them by 90 points and never looked challenged. Feel for Joel Kay who was K/O in the first ten minutes and never returned. Imps played the last 5mins of the game with 14 men on the field as Ramblers all decided to start sniping blokes from everywhere with one red card being handed out. They still managed to score a goal as well and didn't they let ramblers know about it.

Been drowning my sorrows mate and didn't really want to look at this page

Very poor end to our season and to a great players career in Mark Marchetti. Congrats to him on a wonderful career & apologies we couldn't send you out on a respectful note at least.

What happened you ask? Well I honestly cant answer that one. I think the moment Kay went down, so did our heads and clearly never recovered.

On the positives, happy to see the Ressies get into there first GF in 18 years & although we will be underdogs the boys will give Imps a run for their money.

What will happen next year with the coaching staff is unknown but I feel Nugget Hein will be their providing he can find some decent assistants. Would love to see old man Weyland get involved again but I'm not sure that will happen
