Either way, it's a bloody good hit out for both teams. Onkas will hope they smash the crap out of each other!

Yes I agree entirely JQ. Does the courier cup actually mean anything to the players at this stage of the year??

I can tell you that guys that went thru the sh#t times, would love some A grade silverware in the cabinet, but ultimately they'd all have their eyes on the Grail.
If Lofty win this weekend, would some blokes be rested against Hahndorf?

Well forum I have not followed the forum for a while, and boy did I miss some action!

Bravo to everyone on this forum backing each other up against idiots who come on heere and stir stuff up!

I hear along the grape vine that scotty sutherland is firing his boys up to win this as they badly want to finish top spot and get the week off. Wouldn't suprise me considering the injuries floating around their camp at the moment.

I reckon it will make or break them having the week off or not. I f they get the week off it will help alot if not, I think they may struggle.

I reckon watch out for Onkas v Uraidla next time they meet, I reckon Onkas will smash em.

Are Uri's carrying many injuries into this weeks clash?

silky. What are you on? Lofty must be congratulated for the way they have turned their club around. Winning games, a p/ship threat, good crowds, good support all looks good. The 'blue print" looks pretty simple, hard work, right people in the right spots, selective recruting and a good environment. Maybe some other struggling clubs should follow suit.

I play cricket for Lofty and Ive never seen a President and committee work so hard at ANY club and improving facilities at the oval. Every Saturday something was happening around the ground, clubrooms and changerooms without fail in the middle of summer in whatever weather...fully deserve the success they are getting - not as simple as paying players, its about getting facilites right and making an environment to get the best out of all players (paid or not) and supporters.

Think you might be referring to big Matt James who was usually CHF or CHB. Was only there for that 2000 season and then moved on to the even "greener" pastures of Langhorne Creek and I'm pretty sure he's still there.

Cheers ORDB
You are right
Matt James it was
He was a good player.
I remember playing for TV in a Final at Gumeracha against Milang
I think Russell and Dave Schultz both kicked about 8 from Centre
James was good that day.
Thanks for the heads up mate. I knew someone here would know the answer!

I don't play cricket there, but had a small part in helping at some stage, so i hear you Dutchy.
The President of MLFC did what had to be done, that's one of the things he's known for. And he got a good vibe around the club.
Obviously that's carried on into other areas when you see the sponsors jumping on board.

Silky Skills you sound like Shanty trash talking it up. There must have been a computer in the back seat of the car you stole.

Im curious? Who do you think is getting massive cash at lofty? or at other clubs.

JQ, I reckon Onkas will take it up to Uri's and I have heard that Uri's have a few injuries floating around the place. Ebel, Newland, Staples, M Thomas and a few others who apparently need the week off.

I think that lofty have a few out as well. So I think it should be a good hitout for both sides. It will also keep us supporters guessing come finals time when you would think both sides will try and take in their full strength sides

Good to see youngster from lofty Sammy miles is named in the 22 man squad for sturt this week. He may still not play, but still a mean feat in itself to play league footy. Hopefully the kid gets a game. great for hills footy!

Well, I haven't gotten the tips in for a while, so here we go...
Uri's just over Lofty...that hurts. I just think that with a few out for Lofty, it'll be a dour struggle that will come down to home ground advantage.
Now are the other games...?
Blackwood V IB
Hahn V Mt Barker
Onkas V Bridgewater????
