One but keep counting. I should have shut up cos it will probably get worse now ;)

On a more serious note, did I hear correct that a certain MP player returned to the fray and got reported for striking again. Coupla decent haymakers I hear. That should spell the end for him if my source is right. Cove can you confirm ?

Very interesting topic raised here. Not having seen a game for the past 18 months, I am sure nothing much has changed.
Over here, the area behind the coaches box is roped off (exclusion zone) to stop a crowd milling. This does stop a fair bit of mindless comments and also insulates the coaches box from inciteful comments.
Vividly remember a game at Ravendal when the booze van was positioned between the WFC and MPFC coached boxes. Almost caused WW3 and was never repeated. Next game moved over to the far pocket...much calmer.
My rating of coaches boxes would be:

1 (worst) - TFC
2 - MPFC (with R Jones)
3 - LSFC (with K Rowe)
4 - MRFC (with TP)

No matter what grade or age , a calm responsible 'bench' does have a positive effect on the field...hence why I spent most of 2008 on the hill.... ;)

TP used to take aim at opposition players more than umpires in the Malthouse mould. Actually a very scary man to a young kid, and he was on my side.....
Hi, My name is Ron 'Bluey' Dunn. Did you know I played in the 61 & 62 Tasman Premiership sides....

I hope they throw the book at Dudley. Can't the PLFL see that we have had enough of this sort of behaviour. Give him the season off FFS

No good asking TRR he is not allowed to stand with the "throng"
mind you as far as supporters go one Laurence James Richardson is probably
one of the worst. I saw him at Poole one day get out of his car whilst still on crutches
to hand out some "advice" Ithink Chrissy suggested that would be the last time she would
take him to the game.
If jungles had played as well as he could talk he would have been in the AFL

OL Cima had a great day and actually kicked straight took some beautiful grabs
but did benefit from some great delivery from the middle. Probably Paul Franklins best game
so far and when he got the ball it hit its intended target with great accuracy.

While we are on the topic of supporters, one supporter in my footy lifetime stands out for me whilst I was playing in the Mid West league. There used to be a bloke who sat on the hill at Elliston who would just scream "Rooster, Rooster, Rooster" all bloody day. Don't know who he was but it was classic. I eventually ended up playing for the Roosters elsewhere and tried it out but didn't really work for me ;)

Lets each rank our top 10 worst/most annoying supporters. They can be anyone from a team manager to a drunk DH at the bar.

Talking about the crap that comes out of the coaches box, not their fighting ability. For all of KR's ability and argg reputation, he was a special unit on the sidelines....

Who was the stroker that coached Souths in the late 80's I reckon he worked
at the Comm Bank. He was pretty special.
TP had a short wick always it was his way or the wrong way !
Mind you his Missus and his brother were both tougher :D

One of my best mates, and a ripper of a bloke ON YOUR SIDE. Can imagine him getting under the skin of opposition supporters. One day at Ravendale, we set the bar up on his curtain sided trailer. Elevated position, high and dry.....LR lets fly at Hirchy and they stop the game....very humorous for all except the big guy at the time....

1. Namos

After that, everyone seems like a baby...

Mind you JE can be pretty special on the juice!

Bostons have their scoreboard side, Mallee have the Wombat Pit end, Souths have the bar at Centenary, Tassie has the front of the complex, Rangers have the caravan..

Whenever anyone has too much to drink, even the politest supporter is a DH

A comment that would normally melt in with the surrounding noise was suddenly magnified due to the elevated position.
An animated discussion between LR and JJ (playing at FF) caused a slight delay ..say no more

2003 GF when Mitch played a mark to DB after a dubious push late in the last quarter...LS are closing hard and the demons are worried......a chubby fella with grey hair lets fly with some less than kind word at the ump....happened to coincided with a hush in crowd noise...Mitch hears it and looks straight at the culprit...was an interesting opening conversation with him in the bar afterwards...

WFC fixed that problem the following year by making that supporter the Match Day Responsible Person as well as reserves umpire....

What penalty should they give P Dudley?

He has obviously not learnt his lesson and if it is true that is was haymakers being swung then I say give him 4-6 weeks. Any thoughts?
