I was told Callington may be getting Smelt as a coach if they are to go into the RMFL, just a story on the vine I heard.

Echunga beat Torrens Valley by 7 Points in a very close game, all but giving Echunga 3rd Spot. The just need to have 20 goal + wins over Gumeracha and Callington to secure 3rd spot.

nairne B's should definately be playing finals this year just let ourselves down at the start of the year... have been very competitive in the second half of year knocking off meadows and gums and losing to TV by only 5 points...

So the Hills Finals Look to be all but Decided

A GRADE 1st Week.
Kersbrook to have the Week Off.

Kangarilla Vs Echunga - Qualifying Final
Torrens Valley Vs Nairne - Elimination Final

B Grade
Kangarilla to have the Week off

Kerbrook Vs Meadows - Qualifying Final
Torrens Valley Vs Echunga - Elimination Final.

And who knows what happens from there I think last year showed us that anything can happen.

Anyone have any idea where finals will be played.
Eg teams that aren't in the finals. Maccy, Gumeracha, Callington, Meadows maybe.

Courier Cup finals this weekend at Yaroona!

Who's gonna get up?

You'd have to say the B's would be almost a certainty, but the A grade will be an absolute cracker... after last time the Kangy boys have something to prove, but Kersbrook have oviously been doing everything right

Cougar, wouldn't be a bad thing to drop one before the finals? heard some of the brooker boys have some Juventus connections lol.

Kangarilla B's are streets ahead of everyone else, and if were not to win this years GF, would be considered Chokers (They did in 2006). The A grade game will be the Minor Round Match of the Year, but unfortunately conditions could be ordinary. Don't remember Kangarilla losing too many at home since joining the HFL (Did Meadows or Echunga beat them there?) so will be tough for the Brookers. Could be the preview to this years GF IMO.

id hardly say that the win was easy mate.

3 goals in the wet is nothing to brag about really. kangy are not overly bothered by it.

with brett wakefield, panach, hienz and raidis to come they've still got a few aces up their sleeve. if thats the best kersbrook have got then id edpect a repeat of 2006 if they get complacent.

and as for the oval after that much rain not many were mud free... and at least they have their own oval to play on.....

Not a good result for Callington yesterday, down by 21g to Nairne Bremer

They have scheduled a Crisis meeting to decide the club's future
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

Hmmmm...this post smelt of someone very bitter after yesterday's result.

History making day at Yaroona yesterday, with Kersbrook winning their first Courier Cup since 99 and securing their first Minor Round Flag since 98. Kangarilla obviously not at full strength, but Kersbrook still have a couple of Ins to make way too, and don't reckon too many teams have taken the Choccys (Maybe Meadows?) down at Yaroona. Conditions as expected anywhere yesterday were terrible, and hopefully most of ths Hills Ovals will recover for finals time.

As for 1250's B grade sledges, well this current Kersbrook team would also have given the 2006 Brooker's team a hiding, and wouldn't think Brett would let this bunch get complacent. You don't wanna win a Minor Round Flag and not win the Major Round one?? Some teams have done this, was that was because they were complacent

And as for the Oval, well Kersbrook mustn't like using a Home Ground, cos last time they won a Flag (97), they didn't have one either! And when Kersbrook do get their Oval right, they'll make sure to cover the cricket pitch.

Wow was lucky enough to go out to Gumeracha and see an a bit of swimming on the Gumeracha Oval. I think that is the worst conditions in some 3-5 years. Hail that lasted for about 5 min in the b grade followed by a heavy downpour made the oval look like it had rivers flowing off of it. With about an inch or two of water on the oval when the A grade ran out, i dont think anyone was expecting a spectical. Gumeracha done well to hold the runners but i think the mud had a lot to do with that. Kersbrook look like going undefeated for the season... you would hope. The two teams to beat Kangy at home are Meadows and Echunga oh an now Kersbrook. I don't think any oval will be any good for first week of finals maybe nairne & callington, but I would think that would be about it, unless some teams are not training on their ovals.

Can anyone confirm that John Jarrad has been approached by Macclesfield to coach next season? Most people probably haven't heard of him (and you probaly don't want to) but he has been approaching average players from Great Southern, Southern and Amateurs with a guarantee of atleast $150 a match. He is a knucklehead just quietly.
