i can tell you fabian francis as of 4 pm today had NOT applied for the mclaren job, there has been about 8 or 9 applicants, names mentioned earlier are pretty much spot on, though it is known most of these people applied elsewhere so it is possible to not get no. 1 man, there is only 3 people who actually know whats going on, so lets leave it to them to make what is the most important decision in the clubs short gsfl history
who ever thought of the saying winning isn't everything, probably lost!!

There has been some crazy rumours for this mclaren job, i have heard that there is a couple real big names puttin it for the job however will keep it quiet for now and see wat happens!!! Even though my followed club has had some confrontations with mclaren, due to me knowin some people at mclaren it will hopefully be some exciting times for them!!! I just really wanna see the competition be really strong and competitive similar to the 17's comp this season!!

I thought Hart was retiring hahaha lynchie has applied at encounter bay and a couple of hills teams I think or an amatuer team too according to the aldinga thread.
I know harty has been talking to Rhett Biglands to see if he wanted to play a game when he could, how are you guys looking for next year looks like a few other clubs are going for real big name coaches and recruits.

Just from me (and I'm sure King Kernas and hereforthebeer are more qualified to comment than I - being associated with the seniors whereas I'm moreso with the juniors)..... I don't know re the coaches but I'm sure the committee will do the right thing... do their homework... etc, etc, etc.... as everyone is suggesting.

Our club is in a very good position with plenty of guys coming through from Senior Colts and plenty of more development to be had in the other junior grades.... so yeah... therefore I'm sure they'll do the right thing and bring in a coach (or use the one they've got - as I see his name has been thrown into the rumour mill as well) that can handle the responsibility of improving our senior side and nurture the kids coming up at the same time all the while making us stronger and stronger for years to come.

I just wish the decision would be made soon. It's too nerve wracking !! 8-[

If we can hang on to the guys we already have, with a couple of recruits, and maybe a couple of the young fellas that played for South under age team this year, we should be fairly competitive. Plus, the players stepping up to seniors from the senior colts are going to be very handy. Also i've heard they are trying to get back a couple of players that use to play at the club, very good players and would be a huge bonus under the points system. So things are looking quite bright down this way. :D
Still a fair way to go to get up to the likes of Willunga though! 8)

If the future looks bright A Mum, how do you define success?

Well....

How do I define success :-k

"Success is when you prove yourself better than your previous self"
"Success means building a community – not a network"

Of course we're all in it to win it.... that's the whole aim of the game... but success means more than that, the just winning it part that is...
With success will eventually come that 'achievement/winning' part.

Therefore.... if refering to our club in particular... I believe:

If we say community = club:

The success will come once we've built up that 'community' (ie the juniors upwards) and therefore by building up the 'community' part we will encourage loyalty and staying power... adding to the strength of the 'community' that is already there and therefore eventually bringing on the success of winning that A grade premiership !!

Sooooo Grape Ape !!

Did I make any sense to you

I think I confused myself even :D
