Now that would be a good drive on a Sat morning, Kangarilla to Murrayville.
You'd want to stop 10 times on the way to loosen up otherwise when you get there you'd be stiffer than a sailors dick and not much value to the team. Be a lovely drive home too!
Now that is just plain dumb, don't you think?

WHAT ARE PEOPLES THOUGHTS ON WAYNE STRINGER AS A COACH AND AS A BLOKE OUT SIDE OF FOOTBALL?

I know he made it difficult for mick danielle to get out of kangy and move to angaston, the poor kid had to sit out of footy for the first half of the year (07). Not something a decent bloke would do IMO.

He is a great coach but who listens to the commitee to keep them happy rather than go about his business. Someone really really needs to get his Brother Alan into a coaching role again because although he was hard he was excellent in getting the best out of even the 'fringe' a grade players. Outside of football Wayne is a great bloke, loves farmlife and has never been an issue when outside of the club

I've made a comment about this on another thread. How could they stop him if he was unconctracted. The required player stuff is BS. Dont know the circumstances but I seem to be reading everywhere players are having a hard time getting cleared to other clubs in the same league. If they are uncontracted and subs are paid - they cant stop them. Correct me if I am wrong.

Slapsy, he was contracted and Kangy could've made him sit out for 12 months but they signed him over to Angaston just before the clearance cut-off of 30 Jun.

Fair enough then. Its the kids fault for signing then changing his mind and not Stringers for playing hardball. he was only doing the right thing by his club IMO.

Good to see Wayne getting some backing.Im good mates with Alan but know Wayne pretty well, both have a great passion for footy and are great coaches. They maybe hard but not to many players who play under them and stick around for a few years leave without a PREMIERSHIP.Both these blokes are a great people in and out of footy and would help any of their players should they need it.

It would be great to see Alan back coaching again.Has a great record.
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!

Beleive he was contracted for 2 years but had only played one. If he got paid a sign on fee for the two year contract, i would make him give that back until i cleared him to play, which may be what happened.

Absolutely a top bloke and great player, but who will interpret for him?? Played at Waikerie for one year and Troy always imparted some pearls but you would have to be within 2 feet to hear him.
We want Vaughn.
