LANGHORNE CREEK 26 11 167 .d. ENCOUNTER BAY 6 2 38 Round 16

MOUNT COMPASS 20 14 134 .d. ENCOUNTER BAY 5 9 39 Round 13.

WILLUNGA 28 16 184 .d. ENCOUNTER BAY 6 6 42 Round 11

2nd half of the year and that was the top 3 sides against Encounter Bay. I cant see how u were seriously challenging for the better part of the year. E Bay should have made the finals but were not going by these results a serious threat on the flag??

That's a bit rough BJ. EB were a little inconsistent at times as you pointed out with those scores but on any given day they could have surprised any team.

Encounter Bay 13.13 (91) d Strathalbyn 8.8 (56).

Encounter Bay 14.9 (93) d Willunga 13.14 (92).

Both clubs played finals...

BJ I suggest you spend a little less time shining your medals and little more time realising that your reign at the top may not be permanent. We all know how cycles go in football.
Confidence is one thing but I'd hate to be you if in 2/3/4/5 years time your still playing footy and not playing in GF's, then you'll be the guy that talks about how good Willunga used to be...

So in round 2 u were a serious threat? April 21st!

Do we need to go through the whole season i made a point that from Round 11 the top 3 spanked the bays. Thats basically half of the year so im still wondering when the Bays were a serious threat?

Ive said nothing about Willunga, shining medals or the like. I Queried how E Bay were a serious threat for the better part of the year.

Panther i said the Bays should have played finals but that gross inconsistency was the reason for them not being a serious threat on the flag, to pull 3-4 games in a row off against sides all above them.

It will be a different year for willunga, not one loss during the home and away games then clean clear cut run all the way to the holy grail!
unless Creeks do some late recruiting!

the key part of this post: round 2, where were you in september FM? Bays were never a threat and won't be in 2008.

FM is away at the moment, but from what I believe they had their first official meeting/training last Friday. Although a lot of the local boys have been running for a while now.

Now that its a week out from the season start, all the reports have been done in the times change who do we all think are the favourites?

All sides have a positive outlook, are feeling fresh and looking forward to the season and hopefully the comp becomes more even than it has been (altho it hasnt been too bad the last couple of seasons).
