Word has it they spent a baffling 23k on strapping in 07 and now are struggling for income until lads pay their subs!

If a club is interested please PM me, registration costs negotiable at this late stage.

That's the first I've heard of it FM, as far as I know we've had a trial against Golden Grove at Harper's Field lined up on that date for a while now...

Correction to what you heard, the strapping wasn't 23k, the medical budget was incorporated into the whole football budget this year to make things easier on the treasurer, therefore explaining the increase. The 23k was the football department as a whole I think, of which the strapping/medical stuff had been included.

And yeah, we are struggling for money until guys pay their subs, we do every year, that's why we can't pay players...

Hmmmm well Pag as much as your in the know I was getting a very different story from the man at the helm as recently as Thursday afternoon.

Well I wasn't at the AGM but that's what I was told, I don't have any strapping so I wouldn't know how much is used.

I'm guessing you're referring to the Scud FM? I haven't spoken to him since Tuesday but this is the first I've heard about us being involved...

Well done and good luck with it, I hope it is a huge success, as clubs who get off their arse and have a crack should be rewarded.

Encounter Bay won final against Aldinga. Aldinga won 3 from 3 (beat each team once)then lost final by a couple of goals. Our boys enjoyed the day. Good night afterwards too, stayed down there the night.

yep definatly panther, was a great day had by all and the club went to great lenghts to make sure it was a sucsess. reserves flogged aldinga B grade in the first game then a few of them played in the A grade carnival. Will see this as a regular fixture in the last weekend of march at the bay oval from now on.
