Jingles i have indeed seen him play, was a little lazy but got a lot of the footy and was a pretty powerful looking player. How old was he when you were down the bays and he was struggling?

As you have said there are guys out there who are overpaid but are willing to travel to get the $$ that they pay especially down the south east. I personally am not a fan of the $$ chasing guys who arent interested in the clubs interests as much as there own. But with the money being offered i can understand why guys would do it, some times its more than they are getting paid at there job for the week. Very handy to pocket that amount of money for the 18-20 weeks of a season!

BJ Ernest seems very interested in the market value of players at the moment...

Not sure Bayliss will be happy with moving to 2nd ruck, so may move on to greener pastures!

French has signed on as Assistant Coach at Sturt. Will limit his playing time available and Ironbank are fairly keen on him to return to the club and play some games throughout the year.
I believe hes always said he would come back so heres hoping!!

Can anyone shed some light on the rumour about a gun forward from Cove being recruited by Willunga?

Did hear that he was looking to pull on the boots again but didn't exactly see eye to eye with the Mulletted one!
Pity for Cove would have been handy up forward for them seeing as most times this year when they played a decent side they had to swing Ramsey and Weiderman into defence.

Mitch Portlock was spotted in the south east last weekend. Maybe a few paddocks and a couple of crays coming his way in 08?

Doubt the French part to be true! If he was to play anywhere I believe it would be at Ironbank in the Hills comp. But I think with a few weeks old child he wont be playing anywhere...

I don't think French has much footy left in him, not with his bad back. If he was to play again he would be a tall target up forward for Goolwa/Pt Elliot. May see him on the coaching team before long at the saints

Spoke to Barnaby at his holiday house in Goolwa about the possibility of having a kick for the Saints. He said straight up that his playing days were over!
