Hey Everyone
Rd 2 is nearing.
First up, Brisbane, surprise winners last week take on the Blues in Brisbane on Thursday night. One team will go into round 3 undeafeated. Brisbane face Freo in WA the week after and Carlton take on the Pies on the following Friday night, so both teams will want to be 2-0 desperately!
Easter Saturday there are five games. Essendon, lucky winners face Port who jumped the Saints early and held on. That game is at Etihad on Sat arvo. Dunno how to measure both teams at the moment but I'm going to err on the side of caution and back the Dons at home.
Sydney on Sat arvo, in Sydney face Freo. Don't think we're likely to see anyone knock Ballantyne out this week unfortunately. Sydney just.
West Coast by how far over Melbourne. Crickey they were terrible last week the Dees. Maybe it was emotion but geez, show some ticker ya week mob o' bastards.
I said to a mate a few years ago that getting a silver membership at Carlton entitled you to a backpocket with the amount of injuries we had. But even still with two fat blokes sitting in a back pocket, I can't see Richmond knocking off the Pies (unfortunately). They sucked me in again the Tiges, but I think I'll be right more often than not if I pick agains them each week. This one is on Sat night in front of a packed house no doubt. Imagine the crowd if Richmond had won last week!
Adelaide's buoyant season could reach 7 in a row with game no 2 at Footy Park against the Dogs on Sat night. The Dogs apparently were pretty good against the Coasters in Melbourne but I can't see the Crows getting done here, even though both sides are learning their new game plans.
North, gee they get all the good timeslots don't they? The dew kickers play the Giants in Hobart in what should be an easy win for the Roos in the early game on Sunday arvo. Petrie could kick 10. Lindsay Thomas could kick 0.10. This game will be televised into Perth just as the Easter Bunny leaves the state heading west.
Ahh the AFL, they're brilliant aren't they? Two games against lowly clubs on the Sunday. This game is a twilight game, St Kilda and the Suns. Don't think I'll even bother switching to watch this one.
On Monday Matthew Scarlett will be in the stands to admire how magnificent Buddy and the Cyril show actually is. Hawks by a few which will leave the Cats 0-2 and thinking they might be in for a rough ride without the full back of the decade! PS. The cats then front up against the Roos - Petrie will be looking forward to that!
