2018 Victorian State Election

I’ve been living in Melbourne for just on 2 years now, and I’m experiencing my first Victorian State Election campaign.
The differences I’ve noticed so far compared to SA.
Not much in the way of either TV or Radio advertising.
I don’t buy the paper so I can’t comment there re advertising.
A complete lack of campaign posters. Absolute visual pollution in my opinion. Perhaps they are banned over here, I don’t know.
News coverage about the same I think.
I have no idea what electorate I’m in, or who the sitting member is. I suspect it’s a Labour seat here though.
The irony is I will need to lodge an absentee vote this weekend, as I am back in SA on Election Day here.

In the 23 years I've been here this is the lowest key State Election campaign I can remember. Less corflutes on people's houses than ever before and not nearly as much junk mail as previous campaigns, and I'm in a fairly marginal electorate.
Just hoping Andrews gets back in and Guy can finally be consigned to the garbage pile of history where he belongs.

Labor looks like shitting it in. Hopefully they fix up the Warraknabeal school shambles.

Very ugly and a bit of a precursor to the Federal election one would imagine

I saw some 19 year old kid with only 2 months in politics got a gig. There was also reportedly a bloke who only ran as a bit of a joke and never thought he would be elected only to win his seat and now has to give up his higher paying regular job [emoji3]

I wonder if Fed Libs have figured out that nasty wedge politics that uses race to win votes doesn't fly with voters any more.

Listening to Michael Kroger and a couple of other high profile Libs on the radio I would say no. No problems here. Years ahead in State opposition will be fine by me.
