The accountants involved have just been reprimanded b the Institute of Chartered Accountants for their work, which the ICA said wasn't an audit.

I stand by for the outrage at this lie by those who have attacked the PM for doing the same.

So you believe governments or shadow ministers are responsible for the actions of companies they contract to carry out work on their behalf.

You then of course have changed your tune regarding the Rudd Government's responsibility for the actions of companies who they hired to install insulation in 2009.

There's a great difference between blaming Rudd for deaths caused by bad work practices by private contractors on the one hand and Hockey assuring us that his own figures were audited when he knew that wasn't true.

Turning it over to you, if you think Rudd was culpable, then surely you have to condemn Hockey?

Hang on, how did he know that wasn't true? The investigations findings have only just come out. Where is the evidence he was aware that the audit wasn't carried out as he requested when he made the statement?

Yes, I believe Hockey can be held responsible by his party for not choosing a better firm, and the voters should they wish.

Of course, he didn't implement a system which made errors more likely
