I can hear it now "I did not have sexual relations with that woman". Nothing happened with Bill Clinton, and nothing will happen here either.

So a bloke who's not married indulges in a little fornication ... hands up who's guilty of the same offence? #-o

Were Mike and Sasha separated or divorced at the time - they seem to be still spoken of as a couple by acquaintances?
The article in the above link says:
Mr Phillips sent several letters to Mr Rann and his wife in 2004-05, blaming the Premier for the break-up of his marriage to Ms Chantelois.

Mike Rann and Sasha Carruozzo were married on July 15, 2006.

Don't get me wrong as I'm no fan of Mike Rann but really, who cares?

Where's the evidence? Has a blue dress or a cigar been found?

If it is found to be true, or believed by the electorate to be true, then yes, I reckon it is over for Rann (as Premier anyway).

20-50 years ago then absolutely he would have been gone.

But times have changed and people are more relaxed about this sort of stuff. It hasn't really done Bill Clinton much harm in the long run. In some quarters it improved his popularity

It will really depend on the exact circumstances but, in reality, this issue has been played out in the media ever since the incident at the Wine Centre and it doesn't seem to have put a dent in the opinion polls so far. They would have assumed she would eventually sell her story so they would be prepared for it.

This is all on the assumption that Rann himself doesn't choose to resign. I just can't see that he will.

Rann wasn't married at "the time" but was certainly in a relationship with the future Mrs Rann. She apparently knew all about it but "had not expressed any concerns about it"???????? A partner with flower power values - hard to find

Dead man working with the female vote.......

Interesting The Advertiser could only find room on Page 7 whereas it made front page in The Australian. Is the editor of The Advertiser scared of the backlash from the SA Labor Govt propoganda machine?

Only rusted on Liberal voters give a shit about this story, for obvious reasons, any port in a storm and all that. I've never been a fan of Rann but what's it got to with his ability to do his job? And yeah there would be a reason why The Australian would choose to put this 'revelation' on it's front page but I'd hardly expect you to work it out.

A few sure, but it's the staunch Liberal voters desperately trying to cling to this. Surely you don't think Labor aren't going to romp it in again next election?
