What's the reasoning behind the collapse?
What did they do to lose investors money?
The average person buys shares, are they protected ownership wise?

From a Latin dictionary:
ops opis f.: in nom. sing. , [the goddess of abundance];
other cases opem, opis, ope, [might, power, esp. power to aid; help, support];
plur. opes, [resources, means, wealth].
ops- see obs-. optabilis -e [desirable , to be wished for].

Thanks Psyber.
So is this the new buzz term for the general sub-prime collapse? When I last visited Australia I don't recall having too many conversations with people that went along the lines of "Gee I wish I had me some opes! I'd be one happy bastard if that happened indeed!"
Seriously though, English usage seems to have changed a bit in the 7 odd years I have been in a non-Anglo country.
