SA Govt Cabinet Re-Shuffle (mid-term) - Your Predictions?

Postby Squawk » Mon Apr 14, 2008 11:40 pm

Out: Ministers Gago and Zollo
In: Tom Koutsantonis and Grace Portolesi

Roughie for an out: Minister McEwen (Health excuse, pacify the angst of party members against non-party members being in Cabinet). Ministry reduced by one.

Maywald to stay and keep the water portfolio - to demonstrate confidence and stability as well as loyalty.

Your thoughts? (Those up on the factional details of Labor backbenchers, pls chip in!)

I would love to see Vini Ciccarello on the front bench, it would extend the triumvirate of incompetance (Ran, Conlon and Foley), those three stooges might actually make her look good.

No changes to the line up, only to the allocation of portfolios...

Is the allocation of spots [rather than who actually gets which portfolio] still determined by Union affiliation?

e.g. the pleasant but incompetent Don Banfield was Minister for Health under Don Dunstan only because his Union had to have a Minister - I think his was the Metal Workers' Union.
Pleasant guy, Norwood supporter, liked brandy and dry, but thick..
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!
