At the end of the day my mate would be down as voting XX times

He could sign a stat dec to say that he had only signed once


They couldn't not count the votes as no one knows who the votes went to!

Like hell what about todays if you vote green flyer in the letterbox.Death taxes,higher capital gains,more expensive private health insurance,company tax rise,legalised heroin,New taxes(no details given),higher taxes(no details given) all will be instantly let through by a Rudd government if the greens hold the balance apparently as easy as that.Lets not forget the public brawls and riots caused by the union movement if labor win will happen as well apparently.

Would have taken a Tarago with 6 people in it only 20 different booths last time.........

There are 10 booths in my and the surrounding suburbs!

the ones in bold i have heard it fromt he greens lips, thats what they want to do, and after seeing the unions throw so much money at this election to get labor in i wouldnt put it past labor to allow alot of these things through so they have power.

Does that mean they'll be controlled by Big Business and Farmers?

it does yes DW. i know who id prefer the country to be controlled by though. and i can tell you unions have spent alot more on this election than business, farmer groups and the coalition because they have alot more to lose.

my original point being however that its not just the coalition adds that reek of propoganda, its the entire political spectrum

in my opinion its a no brainer, unions have been pushed aside and they feel threatened as the most powerful group in australia. this has been going on for 11 odd years and they want back to easy access to the workforce.

Unlike Big Business which has giggled with delight at the workplace changes through Howard's reign and are now scared that things are going to be wound back.

100% agree they have a place, there are some very greedy people in this world who would sell their own grandma to get that extra $50...on both sides though, business and unions.
they have a place, just where that place is and how dominant it will be i guess is we will have to wait and see.

my argument about unions revolves alot around small business and how badly the unions can cripple them howard is a friend of small business and therefore has my support

OK so we've established it would take a fair bit of time & effort from at least 6 people in this case but what about for less marginal seats you would need a lot more than 120 votes

I would assume if the number of votes counted exceeds the number of voters on the roll by a fair bit in a close race there would be a challenge by the loser, then a re-count and possibly (worst case scenario) - a by-election to do it again
