This is not your vote....

This is not who you are planning ( if you have decided ) on who to vote for,but an indication of who you think might win.

If someone was to give you $10,000 to bet on the upcoming Federal election, and you could keep the winning dividend, who at this point do you think will win?

(I thought I would get more traffic in here than the Politics forum, thus getting a wider response from users)

I dunno about Labour, but I'd put money on Labor ;)

If you believe the pollsters, which apparently John Howard doesn't, Labor are home and hosed.

But I reckon there's still a little bit of fight left in the old dog yet. The election will be won this week.

I'm guessing they both have something up their sleeve, it will be an interesting week for certain. The longest sleeve will win.

At what point do they have to stop advertising? Is it 1 week out or only a few days? Can't wait for the advertising blackout...

can i not select on of those options and say as i have said in the past that we will have a hung parliament and some dodgy extreme left wanker like bob brown or an independent will have balance and their electorate will benefit but the rest of australia probably wont

Don't labor need a 16 seat swing just to break even? That would be a MASSIVE ask IMO
I think Liberal will hold on by a few seats

Yup - I think Labo[u]r will win, and I'm off to the UK next year. I may return in time to pick up the pieces

Just kidding - I'm going whoever wins. I just don't know whether to keep my investments here to benefit from the inflation and rising interest rates like I did under Whitlam and Hawke/Keating, or to get them out while the $AU is still valuable against foreign currencies..... :?

I think a large part of Australia is yet to decide who they will vote for. This makes me also think that come the time they step in the polling booth, vhange for change sake wont be on their agenda.

I can see little JH going round (well, half way) again.

I'm sure Noone and R&B will correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't "young" Brian a member of the ALP originally?

Harradine was a member of the labor party. I am not sure but he may have been in the dlp at one time also.

Thats sounds right given his catholocism and how it influenced his voting.
