WA could save Liberal bacon

WA seats could save Coalition skin!
The key marginal Liberal seats of Hasluck and Stirling in WA are already looming as a potential election-saver for the under-fire Howard Govermment, according to leading election bookmaker Centrebet! Analyst Neil Evans said a shift in significant “smart” money back to the sitting Liberal MP’s after early backing for Labor had re-inforced Coalition internal polling they can hang on to these seats!
“Judging from the dominant early seat money for Labor in a number of other tight marginals, the late counting in WA could well decide the election,” Evans declared. “In fact, according to our investigation, there is still a hope the two Independent MPs could be holding the balance of power, leaving the Coalition and the ALP with 74 seats each!”
“In Stirling, the early money was for Labor’s Peter Tinley, but it has turned Michael Keenan’s way, including one “closely connected” bet of $12,000.00. In Hasluck, sitting Liberal Stuart Henry has taken a surge of money, including one bet of $5,000.00 and shortened from an opening $2.40 into $1.95, although Labor’s Sharryn Jackson is still favourite.”
“In NSW, the seats of Lindsy, Dobell and Eden-Monaro are headed for Labor according to the money, while all three Labor candidates have been well backed in the key Qld seats of Bonner, Moreton and Blair. In SA, “smart” money says Labor will take Kingston, Wakefield and Makin, but the Coalition should repel Labor’s bid in Boothby.”
Evans said the Tasmanian “hot” seats of Bass and Braddon seem ALP-bound, as does the crucial NT seat of Solomon, but sitting Coalition MP’s in the tighter Victorian seats of Deakin, Corangamite and McMillan are all holding their own! “Given, the campaign-related shift in money for the Prime Minister in Bennelong and the likelihood of Malcolm Turnbull retaining Wentworth, the entire outcome could swing on the late numbers from WA.”
