2013 Federal election - Rudd sets date as 7th September

Labor, Liberal, Greens, Democrats? Here's the place to discuss.

Julia has announced a 4.1 billion federally government funded upgrade to parts (notice the parts underlined ) to the bruce highway, particually around the Rockhampton area.

The Bruce highway needs to be duplicated from gympie to Rockhampton, not just overtaking lanes here and there, and black spot repairs.

Ok for now, but i believe a waste of money in the future

Firstly he would've asked you dedja if you were really there in person or computer generated and then would've just handballed you to Mr Broadband.

Why would he even bother seeking donations? Labor's been making theirs for the past three years. He doesn't need to worry about beating their $$$ campaign, too late for that.

I think the dough is going to the SA division of the Liberal Party and will end up being used for the state election.
Any donations I may choose to make will go through my local branch.
I don't pay money to meet anyone, as I reckon they should pay to meet me... ;)

Is it just me or does Q4 in the Social questions work back to front?

Eliminate all foreign aid by the government. Leave it to individuals and charities.
Limit foreign aid to emergency assistance and humanitarian relief following major disasters.
Maintain current aid levels and programs.
Increase foreign aid with more going to particular countries and/or programs.
Increase foreign aid to a constant proportion of GDP.

As you move down the list, the program says you are more conservative and less socialist. I would have thought it was the other way?

Try the quiz on this one for comparison - It lines me up with the Greens. http://www.politicalcompass.org/index
That sounds odd at first, but I think it is that I am just left and libertarian on totally different issues from them.

I suspect the LDP quiz probably produces the same effect from reading their policy.
I agree with some and disagree with others.
