I agree it is poor form no matter who from any party does it.

It's completely beside he point. If i, as a public servant, did the same thing, it wouldn't matter if I paid it back I would be out on my arse.

Exactly....the real world calls it fraud.
Don't get me wrong I'm sure pollies from both sides push the envelope. But what stings most is she's the worst speaker in history and her party tells us to pull our heads in?

Yeah massively poor. Just the arrogance to do that in the first place and only to show remorse because it was exposed.

Dont get me wrong as all our pollies do this. Just a disgrace of the system.

Figures from all pollies are bow being looked at. Thus gravey train needs to have a limit I would think.

Also this is just in time for another discussion about raising the gst. But perhaps we could first look at stopping the waste.....funny where did I recently hear that?

Bronny, it really is such a shame that this has happened to the worst most biased Speaker in the history of Parliament, I mean her behaviour is worse than Eddie commentating on a Collingwood match.

and the Budgie Smuggler, who was on the front foot over Slipper, is doing everything to avoid this debacle.

funnily, I think his approval ratings would sky rocket if he was to severely punish Bronny, but the longer he does nothing the worse it looks for all concerned.

Joe Hockey wins only 3 of 15 sections for his defamation case and has to pay 85% of court fees

such a shame

These Liberal MP weddings must be shit hot because Brownie seems to be getting around. Bit of a party animal our Brownie is.

I would love to know what the gain is from her attending these weddings and why she believes the tax payer shoukd pay for them.

Maybe its the simple fact that it puts her in a better mood for all of us?

So the parasite Bishop is standing firm and will not step down and has the full support of Capt Australia and his puppet Pyne who even this morning and I quote "the speaker is doing a superb job".

Thats because Bronwyn Bishop has so much power within the party. Abbott, Pyne and even Julie Bishop wont stand against her.

Still the larger issue is about all Pollies and the abuse of there expenses. Tony Burke for example is just as guilty om his time as what Bishop is.

biggest thing with all of this is "its within the rules but looks bad, so ill pay it back". if that is the case, amend the ******* rules so that it is no longer ok to rip off the tax payer.....

never happen though as they all get the benefit. just like it will never happen that they vote themselves a pay cut. too much self interest in politics

Oh dear me Brownie. Its on again. The media are now digging and there is plenty to find, another trip at $4k for another liberal fundraiser that has been charged to the tax payer.

The media are now a dog with a bone and they are all digging now. Who knows what will come out now and with who.

The time if entitlement is over. Its time for us all to do some heavy lifting.

it cant be fraud when it is all "within the rules" but just "looks bad".... that and what Stan said.

no one in parliament is willing to cast the first stone lest they be the one in the stocks next (im sure Bronnie would squeal like a stuck pig if anyone in parliament turned on her, she wont go down without taking others with her. same reason Labor stuck with slipper) i dare say they all have something that "wouldnt look good" if the public were to find out about it
