Is it over for Rann?

Labor, Liberal, Greens, Democrats? Here's the place to discuss.

I agree with you about Packer and (lack of) class.

Apart from that, I don't spend much time thinking about social classes.

"Class" is problematical, I guess, as it means different things to different people, and has picked up valuational connotations that were not originally there, like the one I threw in about Packer.
We are probably stuck with "groupings" or "strata" for analytical purposes, and something unwieldy like "social value groupings" for behaviour....

I think "Randy" is taking us all for granted.

As every day passes I am leaning towards "Liberal"

1. The Murray.

2. The De-Salination plant.

3. Adelaide Oval

4. Our Hospitals.

5. CAN LIBERAL DO ANY WORSE...?

6. PFFFT.... Add .8% to your workload. Impossible Randy.

I work in aged care. Come and do my job for 48 hours my premier....

You will not have any time to do things on my office desk except work.... :D

This is a time to say "Wake up GUYS"
Smile :)

It's only Money $$$ :)

I didn't say a thing to anyone about politics - just listened to people talking - the winds of change are in the air for this State Government............

I think you've convinced me.

The bookies and the polls have no clue.

You're right, they can be wrong, especially this far out.

I can't remember ever saying the polls are rigged. If you can find where I've said that, I'll happily agree with you.

Finally, I'm quite prepared to say the election may be close, but I can add that whatever way the result goes, it won't upset me much.

Labor will win comfortably ... even though they have issues everywhere but the opposition are a complete shambles.

Whether it's right or wrong, people will stick with what they know best.

I've been reasonably impressed by Redmond as a leader since she's taken the reigns though. Still not sold on many of their policy proposals though, and in the end that's what counts.

I don't want to write a book, but bookmakers take all factors possible into account when framing a market. The odds thay are quoting here are for a two horse race where one is an overwhelming favourite.

I suppose the main factor that might surprise you is that gambling isn't the preserve of any particular 'social class', but is spread over the population. Although the odds reflect the market, they are also very much in line with the opinion polls.

(I did hear a rumour that the pollsters are only polling certain stratas of society, though ;)

Tell me what's worse - an MD of one of SA's best companies saying something about the current government and because he is a member of the opposition parry, his opinion is ridiculed, or the AMERICAN sportsman who is PAID BY US to be here giving his opinion that Ranny should be re-elected. The media should be questioning Lance on the current issues to see what a complete f###wit he really is

Go easy Jimmy, you have a good point but Lance was just being polite ... granted he shouldn't have made that statement supporting Ranndy but his credentials as a sportsman, anti-cancer advocate and his professional demeanor are 2nd to none. The man is a dead set legend by any measure.

No one cares about Lance Armstrong's opinion on local politics. If the Libs were cutting his cheque he'd be saying pretty much the same thing about them. But you seem to think everyone should give a rats about what the Coopers bloke reckons?
