Seems very staged to me. Why would the secret service let him pose. And yell fight. The same guy who had "bone spurs" and opted out of vietnam

You just have to shake your head on how lucky that bastard was after watching it replayed 2 billion times.

I love how most of the reporters are trying to be very sombre but deep down wish that he hadn’t turn his head that fraction of a second before he did.

I wouldn't normally read too much into which party, if any, an American is registered for - the only real consequence is that in most states, you need to be registered for a particular party to vote in their primaries etc. Even then, you might well prefer for a variety of reasons to choose the candidates for your opposing party rather than the one you support. Some people also register when they turn 18 and never bother changing their registration, even if they begin routinely voting for the other party.

On the other hand, the fact that he's young means he registered as a Republican fairly recently. Will be interesting to see what motive they put this down to exactly.

Also, in terms of Secret Service screw-ups, allowing a bloke with a rifle to gain access to a roof 120m away from a presidential nominee at a rally, is up there with JFK. Fair cock-up I would have thought.

Yeah that's pretty slack even with their own snipers on roof tops?
Ol Trumpy will be asking the same question. Love to be a fly on the wall when that confrontation occurs.
Again, he's gonna battle mentally now about how close he came to public execution.
Wouldn't blame him for walking away, but he won't.

When you promote & encourage violence in politics, eventually you’re gonna reap what you sow!
