As are the Greens - a mixture of blind idealists and self-interested opportunists.

What? As opposed to those in the Liberal and Labor parties =))

Good call, unfortunately another ridiculous post from Psyber.

I reckon SHY spends a disproportionate amount of her time plotting how to overtake Adam Bandt in the race to knife Christine Milne and claim the leadership. Shades of how Don Chip's plucky Democrats self imploded over time.

Because you'd know of course. The big difference between the Greens & Democrats is that the Greens are their own party, the Dems were born out of the Liberal Party. Factor in Labor's continued move to the Right over time in a disastrous attempt to be as right-wing as the Libs leaves the Dems with little relevance and conversely a boon for the Greens.

So, the new generation of pure opportunists rush to join a party that has room for them to find easy positions and easy prominence.

I agree that SHY is quite juvenile in her actions at times and too often makes unfortunate statements. Greens would have learned their lesson I think and will no doubt be a bit more discerning with their preselections in future.
