Exit polls apparently favouring a Liberal victory, with many indicators pointing to the necessary swing being effected.

"Antony Green is calling the election for the Coalition, with the ABC's election computer predicting it will have an eight-seat majority".

Now it's

Target: 45
Labor 43 (-11)
Liberal 44 (+12)
Other 0 (-1)

1 seat in doubt, could be interesting if it ends up 44-44. I presume that would mean another Victorian election.

ABC has
ALP 37
L/NP 45
In Doubt 6

But with the huge amount of postal votes yet to be counted 45 for the L/NP is probably optimistic at this stage. Hung parliament is looking on the cards.

My wife and I were just discussing this. With no independents to bribe it would be a dead heat. My wife was saying the Government would then try to govern through the upper house. If that doesn't work then it's back to the polls.

If we do go back LL do you think the Coalition will win in a landslide? Or labor might hold on?

You get the feeling that some of the protest vote against Labor would swing back to them as people would be scared of another dead heat and that would get Labor back in....just.

I got that feeling too but something tells me that the libs might just get up if we have a re-election.

They were saying 500,000 absentee/pre poll votes have to be counted. That's a shirtload of votes to come.
