"Liberals facing more leadership woes":

"A SURPRISE Liberal party-room ballot for the deputy leadership is looming for next week.

Sources told The Advertiser that Opposition Leader Isobel Redmond was still upset over last Tuesday's party-room vote in which her preferred deputy, Iain Evans, was defeated by former leader Martin Hamilton-Smith.

Sources denied reports circulating last week that Ms Redmond was so angry that she was considering quitting as leader.

The Liberal Party has been in turmoil since last Tuesday's meeting, when Mr Evans was defeated 10 votes to eight by Mr Hamilton-Smith."

"Williams rejects lies in new Liberal showdown":

Mr Williams yesterday reacted angrily to comments from unnamed party sources that backing him would be a de-facto vote for Mr Evans.

"The suggestion implied that a vote for me would hand all the control of the party to the far right is nothing short of a lie," he said.

"I feel I need to defend myself against these scurrilous accusations. I have never been factional and I've worked as diligently as I possibly could in the whole time that I've been in the Liberal party room to remain aloof from the factions."

Mr Williams has tried to position himself as a compromise candidate for the party torn between the so-called hard right Evans camp and moderate Vickie Chapman faction.

MARTIN Hamilton-Smith has pulled out of tomorrow's Liberal deputy leadership showdown, paving the way for Mitch Williams to be appointed unopposed.

Great, so now Izzy will replace a useless lame duck deputy with another, all in the interests of so called party unity and someone who won't challenge her between now and the next election.

What a bunch of muppets.

"Liberal leadership a short term contract":

Mr Williams is set to become the third Liberal deputy in just over a week, and fifth since the crushing 2006 election defeat, in a 9am meeting at Parliament House.

His promotion would bring to six the number of current MPs who have been part of the leadership duo in the past four years.

"Christopher Pyne South Australia's Liberal kingmaker":

"Christopher Pyne's new-found influence in the Liberal Party is raising eyebrows.

Mr Pyne's influence within the SA Liberal Party has become almost an urban myth. He is the man, according to some, who can make or break a candidate.

Depending on who you speak to in the Liberal Party, he is either the Antichrist or the party's saviour.

Both the Labor Party, which could not believe its luck last week, and the Evans forces blamed the moderates (and, by association, Mr Pyne) for Ms Redmond's slap in the face, which led to speculation she was ready to quit.

But people within Mr Pyne's party are not so gracious. None will speak on the record, with one saying Mr Pyne has "no integrity at all". Another says: "He manages to remove himself from the failures but insert himself into the victories."

Ah the poodle ... one who craves attention but who is so caught up in his self importance to realise that few take him seriously.

The one who knifed Ian Wilson so callously and took his position in parliament while his body was warm.

The same pompous soul who has a silver spoon permanently wedged in that smug mouth of his.

The fool who thinks he is born to rule and sucks up to Liberal leaders like the poodle he is.

Yes it's true, I can't stand the bastard.

"Team Izzy-still a faction too much friction":

FURTHER unrest in the Liberal Party is expected when Opposition Leader Isobel Redmond, already embroiled in a bitter factional struggle, unveils her new frontbench, with some MPs believed to be unhappy with their nominated roles.

Former deputy Martin Hamilton-Smith was deposed yesterday in a farcical party room vote where five MPs did not turn up for various reasons, including it was too far to travel or they were held up by heavy rain.

With her new second-in-command beside her, Ms Redmond made it clear she did not want factions in the Liberal Party, although she strangely suggested the party needed to finalise talks on whether or not it should have formalised factions like the ALP.

The Labor Party wont need to remind people of this post-election loss infighting, the Lib's will be able to keep this up for another 4 years, no problems.

Can you imagine the in-fighting for high profile portfolio's if they had won?

They weren't ready and fortunately the voting in SA was spot on. Shook up Labor by way of a big swing to the Libs and the proof is now in the pudding that the Lib's were / are a joke.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

So you're saying the fact that more people voted for Liberal instead of Labor is spot on because they weren't ready? :?
I would have thought going by your statement that the voting would have been spot on if more voted for Labor?
