Just have to get rid of the other one plus a few neighbours plus one particular nosy prix
I think a clean out would be good for them to get fresh faces and enthusiasm into the party. They really should target the Central, Northern and Western city electorates though.
I also just realised that 3 adjoining electorates have lost their elected member (albeit for different reasons) since the election!
Waite - MHS defected to Labor, Fisher - Bob Such on leave to recover from illness, and now Davenport with Iian Evans retiring. What is going on in the South East corner of the City and with the week Isobel Redmond has just had, will a another adjoining electorate in Heyson be vacated??
Maybe I'll put my hand up for it...
Back in 1996 I was considering standing for Heysen when David Wotton retired, but my wife said I had to choose between a political career and her and I decided to keep the wife. ( She did not want the role of a politician's wife, and argued that I was too idealistic, would hate the compromises I had to make, and would become Hell to live with - after thinking about it at the time I concluded she may have been right.)
