Was that the one offered (or paid?) $60k? Sounds like someone offered her more?

Today Tonight had an interview tonight, I didn't see it, but saw the promotion. Obviously they were trying to get in before ACA showed their interview.

Yeah unfortunately I saw the TT interview and she rescinded everything she said to ACA. They stressed beforehand she wasn't paid for the TT interview nor offered anything.

She reckons ACA came to her and said did you use to work at x establishment (yes), did you used to work under x alias there (yes), did you have sex with this man (they just held up a picture of him to her) back in May 2005 (yes).

Then she said she signed a stat dec because she believed it was all true but before she accepted the $60k she said she checked her passport and that she was actually in NZ from April '05 to June '05. She also said something like ACA still wanted her to go on with it because the story had huge political ramifications and could even lead to a change in government.

She didn't exactly sound like the sharpest tool in the shed either and she said she never would've agreed to the interview if she had have known she was being used for political purposes to try and bring down a government (very unlikely but anyway).

These shows are garbage but ACA (Ch 9) come out of this looking really bad.

I'm assuming she may have also had a better offer from someone to not go on air. ;)
But it is possible she did have her dates wrong even if she did recognise him.

6 years ago , so 10 clients a week for 48 weeks/ year = 2880 clients , allow for 30 % repeats say 2000 individual clients over 6 years.

Allow for Mr Thompson to be a one and only event and is nothing special and doesn't devulge his occupation during the transaction.

Then this woman would have a hell of a memory.

That's true but if we assume he was a repeating customer rather than a one off that may be different.

There was an interesting show on SBS the other night which talked about the rate at which various bits of the body are replaced by continuous cell turnover.
