Doom and Gloom. Talk of a Recession.

Labor, Liberal, Greens, Democrats? Here's the place to discuss.

Yep and such harsh conditions for her lead to her becoming Australia's richest person.

She's either nuts (realistic possibility given what she's doing to her kids) or thinks we're all complete idiots.

A pox on the media for giving her opinions on anything such prominence.

Mark it up in history - I agree with you both!
(Although I suspect her kids are a bit over the top in what they think they have a right to expect from what I have read about their sense of deprivation.)

True, that will never change with the Libs being the Big Business party but Labor's rank gutlessness when it comes to these billionaire mining barons is contemptuous.

Gozu is right there.
Pick your parents carefully has always been the way to go for wealth, and usually also for health.

It didn't work for me - my father was an apprentice printer, then a fitter's assistant, then a clerical assistant in the SA Railway's pay office.
My mother had stayed at home, and they bought their first house 29 years after they married, and their first car the next year.
The house was paid off on my father's retirement with a lump sum from his Superannuation.

Fortunately for me, my sister, who was 15 years older than me, made it big in real estate and didn't have children.
Luck plays a part.

Keith Bowden has nothing to do with the increase in market share the likes of the good guys and radio rentals has does it?

I am sure that a bookshop closing is all to do with the economy and not anything to do with technology and how people purchase books etc nowadays.

You can imagine the tirade of criticism we would be hearing from the left wing media if the Libs were in power state and federally!

Book shops are closing in Victoria as well. I was under the impression it was due to people buying books on line or ebooks. I didn't realise it was because we had a Liberal Government. :-s
