This is not your vote....

Postby Booney » Thu Nov 15, 2007 6:38 am

This is not who you are planning ( if you have decided ) on who to vote for,but an indication of who you think might win.

If someone was to give you $10,000 to bet on the upcoming Federal election, and you could keep the winning dividend, who at this point do you think will win?

(I thought I would get more traffic in here than the Politics forum, thus getting a wider response from users)

If you believe the pollsters, which apparently John Howard doesn't, Labor are home and hosed.

But I reckon there's still a little bit of fight left in the old dog yet. The election will be won this week.

I'm guessing they both have something up their sleeve, it will be an interesting week for certain. The longest sleeve will win.

At what point do they have to stop advertising? Is it 1 week out or only a few days? Can't wait for the advertising blackout...

Don't labor need a 16 seat swing just to break even? That would be a MASSIVE ask IMO
I think Liberal will hold on by a few seats

Yup - I think Labo[u]r will win, and I'm off to the UK next year. I may return in time to pick up the pieces

Just kidding - I'm going whoever wins. I just don't know whether to keep my investments here to benefit from the inflation and rising interest rates like I did under Whitlam and Hawke/Keating, or to get them out while the $AU is still valuable against foreign currencies..... :?

I'm sure Noone and R&B will correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't "young" Brian a member of the ALP originally?
