Dukes Highway Duplication

The Coalition have announced the Duplication of the Dukes Highway between SA and Vic.

One would hope that Gillard will make an announcement and match it, to my knowledge this is the only thing that has been promised for SA from either of the major political parties. Time to step up to the plate ALP and tell us what you are going to do for SA if you are elected...

a bullsh*t policy announcment. all spendings on roads has been committed to until 2014. this is along way off IMO and not election winning or losing policy

It should have happened in the late 70's / early 80's when the highway was realigned and widened. IIRC SA was willing to do it back then as long as VIC would do the same with their 1/2 (Western Hwy), the Vic's didn't want to know about it as they already had the Hume to worry about.
30 years later and somneone is finally talking about it.............pity I can't take any of his promises seriously
