Just wondering what people would think if we created a separate site for the regional boards?
I could set it up so everyone registered here and all the posts currently here would transfer to the new site and you could still post on here with the same user details.
Only downside would be if new people wanted to register they'd have to register twice if both sites interested them.

If we did make a SAFootyRegional.net we could even set it up so each league or area or division had their own forum so instead of the amount of people that just tack converstaions onto the same thread you would have plenty of room to start new topics.

The added bonus would be that if we split the site in 2 and put them on different servers it'd ease the workload on the servers and mean both sites would be less likely to blow up a server or come down again.

Im interested on getting lots of feedback re this as this site is only as strong as the people that use it.

wedgie, that doesn't sound like a bad idea at all.... The only problem is for the people who have a fair interest in both, miss out a little bit and it becomes more complicated. If it is the difference between having a site that works or not then it isn't a bad fix... I can imagine there is a fair few that come and only really look on the regional footy section.
