Complete Revamping of Regional Footy League Forum?

This forum is getting out of control, not in our wildest dreams did we expect to get the sort of great input we've been getting on this forum.
Its definately not a bad thing, its a great thing and we're always keen to improve the experience on this great site for the users who make this site what it is.
We've been thinking of a few ideas to make it easier for people to read/post as opposed to the current set up and we're interested to hear everyone's opinion.

1) Keep as is
2) Split it up into 2 seperate forums, one country leagues, the other metropolitan leagues
3) Create a new forum/website where each league/division has its own forum to start different topics
4) Create new sub forums for each league and have them on the bottom of SAFooty or accessible through SAFooty.

We're interested in others thoughts especially the people on here that use these forums and if there's any other options or any of the above you think are a good idea let us know in this topic.

Cheers,

Wedgie (on behalf of SA Footy Site Admins and Mods).

I think option 3 would be the best. Alot of work setting up intially, but will be better in the long run.

there's also planning for the future- if the Government had a "if it aint broke, don't fix it policy", they wouldn't invest in infrastructure. Oh, hang on....

I like option 3 and agree with PhilG about having a forum for each area.

Also keep up the good work I like getting my daily fix of SA footy from this site, it is the best.

I've done a fair bit of Web Design, and some stuff with phpBB (our forum code).

I'm gonna look around for some code with would suit this site really well, just have to find it. I'll keep you guys informed.

It would suit item no 3 by the way.

Wedgie, why don't you add a poll to this topic with the 4 alternatives? FWIW, option #3 for me.

no 2 gets my vote, but SAAFL does need its own forum...

I like number two. ;)
Don't start a seperate website/forum - the best part of this website is that all of your SA footy needs are in the one spot.

option 2 or 3 is good.....with 409 pages on our league forum its getting a bit crazy...would be definetly easier to moderate!
