STANDARD OF VARIOUS LEAGUES

Postby - » Wed Mar 28, 2007 10:22 am

I am interested in hearing peoples views on the standard of some of the comps around sa.

A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, Hills, Southern, Great Southern.

Put them in order.

"Baby on board". Why dont you put a sign on ur car saying "adult on board" or "car stereo in use"?

Hasn't this been done to death?

For the record - I reckon the Riverland Independent competition is the best in the state, followed by Hills Div 2 and Div 7 in the amateurs.

I rate the mallee league all lot more than some people do, had the wood over the riverland in the past four or five years i think last year was their first win.

I agree with you Roos - they might have to make themselves available this year though.

The RFL making a very big statement about that sort of thing. And....interleague etc is so important this year that SA Country v SA Under 23 Amateurs is the first game in the RFL program this year....

Think some people are kidding them selves with the standard of various leagues across south australia. In order are the best few leagues going around.

Amateur Div1,2 (Best by a long streak)
Top 8 in the Southern league/BLG equal second (Although Morphett Vale would be competative in div 1 amateurs, hints why they have won 3 in a row)
Hills Central/Great Southern equal 3rd
The rest would scrap it out for other positions
Fact-the closer the league is to adelaide the better the standard and I think you are selling a few div 5 amateur sides short when you say they would get belted by a Yorke Peninsula team.last years grand finalists Mitcham and Para Hills would do ok,wouldnt win but definatly not get belted.paskeville would not beat North haven in div 4 either.

Also in my opinion the best country league ive seen is just over the border but is full of the hardest and best skilled footballers ive seen (Sunraysia League)

Sunraysia's pretty good LK.
I've seen some good footballers come from there to play over here.
Also some over rated ones too.

What sort of a weapon are you saying Lippis is?

Who's your family there, I might know them?

Was a good win - but Brown's Well are the comp strugglers.

From games i have witnessed this year :

Southern Football league would equal A2 , Morphies V Port Districts would be a interesting contest ....

Barossa & Gawler league top two sides Freeling & Tanunda would be around top of Div 3 maybe lower Div 2 .

Div 1 would compare with SANFL reserves .
What i dont know about football isnt worth knowing .
