Not expecting huge interest on here.
Checked out the VFL season fixture earlier today, picked a few games to go to throughout the season. Will be interesting to compare the standard to the SANFL.
Box Hill Vs Footscray at Whitten oval on Good Friday will be the first game I attend.
As I am living on the northern side of Melbourne will also get to a few NFL (Northern Football League) games, this is the old Diamond Valley league. Read with interest that Boomer Harvey will be playing for one of the teams in this league.

Box Hill and Port Melbourne play out a draw. Good standard of footy. I saw Sturt & North at Prospect 2 weeks ago.Certainly a better standard than that.

Did I read correctly that Boomer Harvey had 63 disposals and kicked 9 goals last week?
Not in the VFL but a lower league.

Yes he did. He is playing for Heidelberg West or North, can't recall which club. I know they are Div2 in the Northern metro league. I've been to one local game here so far and that was a Div 3 game. Was not great footy to be honest.

Did someone not think about belting him after he kicked his 5th?
Probably couldn't catch him to do it.

Box Hill recorded their first loss for the season going down to Casey. Vickery still a spud.

I think you were right.

FWIW... the good games in the VFL are of a decent standard, but they have some stinkers too... just like the SANFL.

Bit of a farce yesterday with Essendon pulling 5 listed players only a couple hours before the game. The AFL side is playing Friday night so decided to hold over the 5 players who are in contention for promotion.
Begley has been emergency for the last 2 games so has now not played any footy for 3 weeks

Good to see two standalone sides in the top three.
Go the Gulls.

I see today they've decided to cancel the VFL reserves comp.

Yes that stat appeared on screen at the end of the coverage. Remarkable. It's been a very windy day over here and it must have been a ball up and throw in fest. I only saw the last quarter.

That's a ridiculous day out for a ruckman.
Was played at Burbank, so that means there's always a chance of wild weather.

Footscray hold on by 5 pts in the elimination final to end the bombers season. Clutch goal from Boyd in the last quarter.

Not surprised at all. Didn't see any of but if the club doesn't care about the result why should the players or fans

Another 30 seconds and your lads could have won... they were pushing hard at the end.
