Footy club music options

Hi guys,

In the process of replacing our club's jukebox (as it's ****) and am looking into music options and what various clubs use out there?

Current options being explored include:

Buying a new jukebox

Buying a second hand jukebox

Fixing up old jukebox

Setting up speakers and having iPod connectivity, people play their own music etc

Any suggestions/anecdotes on what's worked well in your club?

Has the option of upgrading the jukebox been looked at $$ wise yet? That would be my pick anyway...

We bought an all-in-one touch screen pc, hooked it up to the amp, loaded it with music and away you go. We also bought a coin receiver which connects to the PC, it is all enclosed in a cabinet but we (me) haven't connected it all up yet. Mainly due to procrastinating over the jukebox software and having better things to do when at the club.

Yeah, we're buying a new digital one for about $650, minus speakers but has upload capabilities and is wall-mounted, so not a cumbersome thing to move around.

This one sold before I could buy it.

Bought something else for $500. It is a custom-made by a guy from Golden Grove. Basically it is a similar size and looks kind of like one of those check-in stations at airports.
Inside is an XP computer running a jukebox program on start-up, which reads all the music on an external HD.
The external HD can be removed and plugged into other comps to add music to it.
The screen is a touch screen, where you select your music from. Working a treat.
