Celebrity game at half time of Showdown 35

Next Sunday August 4th is the final Showdown at Aami Stadium as Port Power battle the Adelaide Crows in a game that may be finals defining for both clubs. It's should be a cracker of a Showdown.

The half time entertainment will be just as good ;) . It will see three fast, action packed fun filled games of AFL 9s "The game for everyone" taking place with the feature game being Captained by two celebrity guest players.

Negotiations are in the final stages and will be confirmed by early next week. Would anyone like to suggest any Port/Crows ex stars or main stream celebrities they would like to see. Or even guess who they might be???

Wondered what was going on. My lad got picked for the Auskick from our league and they have to be there at 12:30, play at 1:10 but the showdown doesn't start until 2:50. Kids will have an audience of only the parents to cheer them on instead of the normal half time slot.

Does it not surprise you because Hectorville have an AFL 9s team in the northern Div 1 comp. Reigning premiers at that

AFL 9s gets 2 time slots for the year booked in Feb. sorry the young fella doesn't get half time billing but at least you all get free tickets to a showdown and he does get a kick and a catch on Aami. If he sticks with it he will get a chance to play at half time mate

He has, he is 9 and has played the last 4 years in our game at AAMI, I have been our clubs Co-Ordinator so I get to go out with them as well which is a buzz.

Check what time the gates open as you and the Coach may be the only ones watching them. They will not let anyone else in before the gates open. This has happened to us before. :(

Tony Modra is locked in and his opposing Captain looks like being a former Port Adelaide and Crows champion. Will be confirmed this evening
