Suspected player movements and sundry rumours

When you wade through the various footy threads you read where Billy Bloggs is seeking a clearance from Galarganbone United to the Plympton Pill Crushers, and Freddy Nylonthong is probably leaving Mount Compass and going to Gawler Central and so on.
I figure this thread could be used as a consolidated reference to track the suspected player movements around the state and country leagues. Stick your rumours here and lets debate their relevance or otherwise

;)

yeah I see where you are coming from MP but this is different. Here's one I heard about today.
Orroroo gun Liam O'Dea is moving to Port Lincoln because that is where his partner is working. He's a mate of Matt Keatley so will he play in Port Lincoln or continue to commute back to Northern Areas?

Isn't the cut off date for clearances June 30, unless perhaps its residential?

One thing I noticed was Isaac Weetra has put in for a clearance to a club in the River Murray Football League (has been "Denied" once, with a new application made on same date).

Port Adelaide River Murray Football League Weetra, Isaac Pending 30/06/11
Port Adelaide River Murray Football League Weetra, Isaac Denied 30/06/11 30/06/11

Anyone know what points he would be worth? Has he played much at any level the last 2 or so years? I'm presuming its mainly the occasional Reserves game at the Magpies. Was he also playing with a club in the Southern League too?

Are you sure its Weetra and not Woodards? They tell me he can play for two or more clubs at once on any given weekend

yeah some quality rumours there you blokes!
Here's one to tickle your fancy - Luke "Swoop" Duncan might line up at Broughton-Mundoora next year. He starred down at Penola last year but the whisper is he wants to come to a warmer climate by the sea. All this from the Dublin pub on Friday arvo.

Well there was the one about Joel Millard being offered his own chain of hairdressing shops if he moved to Kadina but I'm sure if it is right. Could be a good one for Rick Shaw to check up on

Rick does not read this site. He just drinks at the Dublin Hotel a lot feeding false rumours to others to put them off the scent.

Luke Prokopec may soon become "ex-North Clare". Paskeville and Broughton-Mundoora are denying suggestions they are interested while there's some petty cash on him returning to Whyalla in 2012.

According to Div 3 thread, Flynn from Para Hills is heading to:
Berri
North Haven
Hamilton
Wallaroo

Even Marc Cox would struggle to fit all these in between Feb 1 and Jun 30

Flynn has already had a stint at Wallaroo I think you'll find. Marc Cox is now the commodore of the Roxby Downs Yacht Club, not many of those clubs around so looks like he's stuck for a while.

He's also had a stint at berri.
