Free Community Coaches Course!
Free Community Coach Training Program at various venues around Adelaide during Jan/Feb.
The course will cover topics including:
• Role and responsibilities the coach
• Planning
• Communication
• Group management
• Inclusive coaching practices
• And heaps of practical drills/activities for you to use with your athletes

Coaches who complete the course may be eligible to deliver the sports programs in schools throughout the state. Benefits of involvement for your club may include:
• Increased junior membership and possible creation of new junior teams/clubs through coordinated access to schools and primary school children.
• Opportunities for your club to apply for grants for new equipment to assist with the delivery of your sport/activity
• Opportunity to gain payment for coaching through schools/OSHCS
• Exposure of your sport and your club’s facilities/coaches to primary school-aged children, their parents, school teachers and other local community members.
• Increased number of volunteers, parents and athletes who can become trained coaches at your club through the FREE Community Coach Training Program.

In SA, over 14,000 primary school students are involved our structured physical activity program and are looking for fun sports to play and potentially new clubs to join!

Do you get level 1 accreditation coaching for doing this course.

It is the equivalent of a Level One General Principles Coaching qualification. But it would be up to the candidate to negotiate with their individual sport as to whether they would accept this course as credit for a sport specific Level 1.
