Who saw this? Ruffled a few older blokes at works feathers. Pretty disgusted about Micks comment about just humiliating (Along those lines) Callington. Poor Sport? I hadnt really thought about it but these blokes are pretty dirty on him, made me wonder. Penny for your thoughts?

Didn't see it but was it mentioned that the match was against a team that has had their bums kicked all year by 40 or 50+ goals each game and it really isn't such a big deal with the poor quality of the opposition?
What's more, it's HFL endorsed.

I'm impartial, don't know any of them but I cant see it was a problem. If someone gets 40 goals against a team, you can say what you want about the IMO

I thought they were both pretty ordinary.
What good comes of kicking a club while they're down?
Terrible effort.

I think five or six goals against a quality defence is impressive.

To kick 40, you are either playing well below the level you should be, or the side you are playing are competing (I use that word loosely) at a level too high for them.

It would be an absolute embarrassment to a half-decent bloke to have someone make a big deal of that effort.

If these were reasonable people, who gave a damn about football (and QG has played enough), they'd swallow their pride, and go and play for Cally next year, instead of enjoying 40 goal hauls, that are a blight on the record books.

ridicoulous comment, if they did that then they would be accused of being club sluts, moving for alternative motives, moving for cash etc etc

So at the end of the day you want them to be reasonable people by disregarding there loyalties to a club.

At the end of the day maybe Callington should have approached Thommo in a coaching role there, these blokes would have moved to WHATEVER club Thommo coached at.

I think it's fine.

When you are in your prime, play to win, play for the club that's best going to suit what you want to get out of football.

When you are in the twilight of your career, especially when the game has been good to you, try and give something back.

No-one is going to accuse someone of being a club s!ut, because they clearly aren't trying to get another premiership under teh belt by playing for Cally.

I thought that Graham came across a bit arrogant in the newspaper article and on the Footy Show. All he had to do was act a bit sympathetic towards Callington and not talk up his own feat too much and it would have been a good story. He probably didn't mean to come across that way, but that's how I read it.

Yes because all amateur footballers are rocket scientists

Boring, both have achieved alot more than yourselves on a football despite being "dumbasses". Probably says alot more about all these 'better' people on here

Being dumb or winning a few premierships with Centrals doesn't excuse being arrogant and disrespectful though.

I've actually bounced to work on a football. I bet that's better than what Quentin Graham has achieved on a football.

Was going to point that out OnSong, but I thought someone else would. Nice one!

whufc, seriously mate, are you for real sticking up for Graham & Ashby. Their interview on the Footy Show smacked of arrogance & a total lack of respect for their opposition who are just a bunch of battlers trying to have a go. I will acknowledge that Graham was a very good SANFL footballer but his moron mate Ashby needs to learn something about having respect for the other team. I could not have been more disgusted with their comments & can only hope that the Karma bus drives straight through the Gumeracha footy team.
