compound fracture is where the bone protrudes through the skin right? is that the same thing with a compound dislocation?!
I assume so, a lad on the weekend dislocated his fingure and it came through the skin but did not break!
a compound fracture/dislocation need not be the cause of the broken skin - the skin can tear then the break occur - effectively the result is the same but it may actually be two different injuries occurring at the same time.
